"We have always wanted to stay in one of these beach houses, and we had so much fun. The beach is a short walk from the house, and you can clearly see the ocean from both floors of the two story deck. There’s a grill and picnic table on the deck with some nice patio couches and Adirondack chairs. The house is perfectly suited for multiple families with kiddos. There is a main floor master and another bedroom with an en suite plus three bedrooms with bunk beds upstairs. It was nice to have a washer and dryer, and there were plenty of dishes, cooking utensils, towels, extra pillows, etc. A couple tips: - Grocery shopping is expensive on the island, so we stopped closer to Mobile on our way. - It’s a good idea to bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, ziploc bags, and trash bags. We used more than was there, but we had ten people in our group. - We also brought some dish tabs and tide pods so we could run the dishwasher and do laundry. - Expect to be active if you stay here. Lots of stairs and walking the dunes to get to the beach. Dragging our beach wagon was a pain, and I was wishing we’d brought our bag cooler. The owner was super helpful and communicative, which is always appreciated. The island is beautiful and there are several parks and historic sites a short drive away. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Dauphin Island."

"We prefer quieter areas over the heavily traveled. Sometimes it is nice to be the only people on the beach."
