“Stayed the weekend for son's graduation at Auburn. Great alternative to the expensive hotel rooms available that weekend. Perfect location, right on the water.”

“We are 4 older fisherman that plan a trip every year. This is our second stay at this house and it meets our needs very well. We cook all our meals at the house and the kitchen and dining area are great. The dock is perfect for leaving our bass boats in the water with the launch right across the street. Outside facilities are outstanding. Pleasant stay.”

“The property is secure and secluded, just right for a peaceful getaway!! Restaurants and within 10 minute drive, grocery stores are about 15 minute drive and the quiet quaint town of Wedowee is a pleasant trip back in time.”

“The house was super clean! We had room for everyone to have a bed! It was a perfect gathering place for our family and a few pets! We had all our meals at the house. Kitchen was well equipped! One suggestion if you plan to cook. Bring your own knifes for preparation of food! If we ever gather as a total family again, we would rent this place again. The host was great to respond! “Arrived to a cold house at 50 degrees. Did warm up with turning on furnace after about 45 minutes. No dish towels- they would have been nice. Had to use bath towels in the kitchen. No wifi and poor cell service. We actually like this property and have stayed here previously. Suspect that the details a little lax because off season for a lake house.”

“This is a perfect spot for a lake getaway. We came into town for an Auburn game in the fall and really enjoyed the lot, the hot tub, the swings, ropes, fire pit, and golf cart. There are plenty of kitchen extras (dishes, spices, pans, k-cup brewer etc). Lots of blankets and pillows. Easy access off of SR 280 and about 35 minutes to downtown Auburn. My only criticism is that it could use a deep cleaning. One shower drain didn't drain, trash under the bunk beds and paint could use a fresh coat. I……

“We had a great time at the cabin on Lake Tallapoosa. The cabin was cozy with all the amenities we needed. The house was perfectly setup for dogs. They were able to roam from the fenced yard up the ramp and into the porch area. This was a big deal for us which allowed us to relax while they had more freedom. We saw blue heron, otters, turtles on the river and took a trip to the local dam. The train was unexpected, but it made our days (and nights) interesting. Thanks!”

“This was my second glamping trip to the Destination Resort. I brought more friends and family this time and they rented one of the other glamps. The fall colors were spectacular. We enjoyed our walks along the river and even caught a fish while there. The resort provided the poles and tackle which made it easy to just pick up a rod and fish. The trip was wonderful just like last time.”

“this was the perfect for 4 class of 1978 men on the 'guys weekend." The quiet location is incredible. we enjoyed the porch and the floating dock. We took the short trip to the brewery in Opelika and drove through the auburn campus as well.”
