Cute cottage

The cottage was super clean and cozy. We had a great time listening to nature, screech owl, birds, foxes, etc.. would stay here again.

Always a Great Stay!

We have had the opportunity to stay at this location for several years! We come down to do some duck hunting and always enjoy the accommodations. The house is perfect and we can easily fit 2 boats with trailers in the drive! We will be back next year!

Perfect for our day trips.

Great place to come home to after our day trips to Assateague, Chincoteague, Ocean City and much more. The local beach is just down the road and we had it to ourselves every time we went including the only time we had sun which made for gorgeous sunset pics. So glad our dogs were welcome. Even got to take them through the Skipjack Museum a short walk away.

Great view

This was a perfect spot in the middle of nowhere to relax and just enjoy nature. The beds were very comfortable. Everything you need is there. Just a perfect spot if you need to get away from the big town or city life. Communication between the property manager was very quick and friendly. We would definitely use this location again.

This property is definitely big enough for 8. Needed to use one cot. Description was not clear as to the size bed in third bedroom, but the cot fit in perfectly. Enjoyed walking over the bridge to the beach!

Roomy, great cottage for family w pets!

Interior roomy, clean and well stocked. Location close to fishing and heart od Deal Island. Room for your stuff, your family and dogs. Had priblem with heat at checkin but owner made sure service halpened immediately! Was up and running within 2 hours. Thank you. Only negative was exterior maintenence. Grass and weeds way overgrown, tree debris ... just needed aome attention. In the big scheme this is minor, but would uave enhanced the stay. But, dont be put off, a great place if you enjoy the idea od Deal Island amenities. We would absolutely book again!

A Real Deal

Place was very nice, in a quiet community (only heard a crowing rooster at some distance.) The inside was completely renovated and very spacious. A plus, master bathroom w/ its own bathroom! Slight hiccup in that the TV crapped out first night. Replacement was ordered but delayed in shipment. However, the cleaning lady loaned us one for the last 4 days, allowing us to watch our shows. Deer bounding about in the backyard. There was a 20 minute drive out to the main road, with no convenience store anywhere nearby. Shop ahead of time before checking in (Food Lion.) Overall, good time. Glad wasn't staying the week when Ophelia hit nearby! Plus, beautiful sunsets on Deal Isl proper, by beach.

Great spot close to where our event was. Area is quiet and has tons of great views. Home was well appointed and extremely clean. Some nice improvements have been made, and it appears more are on the way. Thanks again!

Very remote place to unplug.

This stay was so relaxing and gave me so much quiet to unwind. I loved the style and overall atmosphere of the home. The only downsides were particularly how far you are from other towns and food! The other downside for us personally was the water, when you bathe, it may have been well water or directly from the surrounding bodies of water. I would suggest to future guests to bring their own drinking water. Aside from those things, I would certainly recommend this stay for people looking to unplug from city life.

Not on Deal Island! Not on Bay!!

Cottage was clean and furnished nicely. The screened back porch was essential as the mosquitoes were big and plentiful as would be expected in a wetlands area. We used 40% DEET spray which worked well. The beach was nice and early morning and about sunset we had it to ourselves so our dog could run off leash. Owner responded promptly when we told him the satellite wasn't working. Only negative was that the septic tank right off the back porch overflowed whenever water was used. Maybe too remote for some people but close to fishing and crabbing areas

Great house!

Great rental for sure! I so appreciate the linens and towels being provided! Also all the great little touches such as toiletries, coffee, etc made this the best experience. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone wanting to stay on Deal Island.

Peaceful Retreat

We stayed at this perfect location for an end of summer get-away. It was clean and well stocked. I do recommend writing down the lock code before you get close, as we lost reception when we neared the property (a minor set back). This house has generous space, as a family of 6, with 2 dogs we were very comfortable. We spent much time on Deal Island, but we did add a day trip to OC and Assateague Island (about 40 miles). My Husband is excited to return to duck hunt and fish!
