“We stayed here for a few days to go to Yala National Park and Hotel Elephant Eye was a great location for taking a SAFARI Tour. The owner is very friendly and the staff are very hardworking. The property is very well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast in the restaurant. Easy walk or Tuk tuk to town for restaurants and grocery stores.”

“basic guesthouse with 5 rooms and a communal room. bed was alright and came with clean bathroom. recommended to pay extra for the air con (which didn’t seem available as an option during booking) as it was really hot when we visited and the room was stuffy after awhile. (only reason y i gave a 4 rating as i was sweating throughout the night) the staff were great though especially Dhanushka who went all out to arrange a comfortable stay for us, including getting a beer and dinner for us. he……

“Cabanas located in trees - you are literally sleeping outside. Different experience, but nice. Be aware that animals may enter, and the river is very close by, so maybe not so good for people who needs complete silence to sleep. Staff very helpful and nice!”

“Agreed by the whole family to be the best hotel and stay of our Sri Lanka & Singapore trip (overall we stayed at 11 different hotels of varying quality). Can't really rave enough about this place. “Seemed the best hotel in the area. Room big with a terrace leading to the very attractive large pool with the lake and a tree house to climb. Monkeys about who were fun to watch. Breakfast more to Asian tastes than mine but French toast, potato’s, fruit and breads available.It was very quiet during our stay with more staff than guests! “Lucky, i saw four leopards, two in evening safari and two in morning. Even we weren’t the first car arrived but the diver/guider can find the best locations to us for taking picture once the leopard moving. It is because he can estimate the animal behavior with well-known of yala national park. He is Achi, one of the best safari driver and guider.
