Top Dedham Hotel Reviews

The Lucerne Inn
8/10 Good
"Room is clean but no freezer and microwave"

Black Bear Inn, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"What a great hotel. We went hiking early, checked out the college. Great place for the price. Comfy beds too"

Island View Hotel Bar Harbor
10/10 Excellent
"Good place for quiet nights, watching the birds and the tide in the bay. North of Bar Harbor by ten miles just enough to keep you out of the traffic jams. One mile north of Acadia park entrance. One mile south of main Trenton Hannaford and one block from Trenton bridge lobster pound, and Currents restaurant and oyster bar. David, the manager working from a temporary office space is helpful in guiding tourists to eateries, fishing venues, and local sights. Enjoyed our respite from the Florida heat immensely."

Stone Park
8/10 Good
"Room was clean and welcoming. Didn't realize until checking in that there wasn't an elevator and our room was on the 2nd floor so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. We are able bodied but when you are exhausted from traveling, carrying luggage upstairs is the last thing you want to do. I must have overlooked the fine print that the facility didn't have an elevator. The lighted mirror in our bathroom didn't work. Not a big deal."

Hollywood Casino Bangor
10/10 Excellent
"Love it here."

Bangor Grande
8/10 Good
"it was farther away from our destination than I thought, but it was easy to get back to."

Country Inn at The Mall
8/10 Good
"The room was very clean. Furnishings are outdated (90s era) and detract from any aesthetic appeal. I have stayed here once before. It is cleaner than most hotels and that’s important (+ 1 star). People must be making coffee with tap water now or something? I am sure there was a vending machine with a 12 ounce bottle of purified water for $3-4 but I am not a consumer of overpriced purified city water (- 1 star). My standard for hotels is a minimum of two 12 ounce bottles of water (only enough to make two coffees and have three sips throughout the night). I always bring a gallon of spring water with me to hotels now (even those with “Excellent” or “Wonderful” reviews). There were tissues (+ .5 stars). That’s becoming less common. There was a room service card that had the customary “Your room was cleaned and prepared for you by __name goes here__” without a name. No pen or pad (- .5 stars)—I brought my own and circled where the name belonged on the envelope. A not as exciting but more valuable tip. I strongly encourage people to take a second floor room. There were young children above me with parents who were letting them jump off of furniture like they were at a theme park. The first floor noise wasn’t bad but the overhead amusement park made up for that (- .5 stars). Beds are comfortable (+ 1 star). I can’t comment on breakfast because I came to sleep. This is one of the better reviews that I’ve written. I would place this hotel in the top 10 percentile of regional hotels."

Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Ellsworth / Bar Harbor
8/10 Good
"The quality of this hotel is mixed. On one hand, the room looked recently remodeled and was in excellent condition. It was very nice and quite roomy. On the other hand the hallways and some of the entrances were seedy looking and made me seriously question our choice of staying here. Based on the room, I think the hotel is trying to upgrade the quality of the place but they need to focus on the common areas and also stop shady looking characters from hanging out at the entrances and stairways to smoke and talk on their phones. Definitely need to improve the lighting in the hallways to make them feel safer. The staff was extremely helpful and leaned forward in trying to make sure you had a good stay."

Bangor Aviator Hotel, BW Premier Collection
10/10 Excellent
"I enjoyed staying in this quiet space the night before my flight. I noticed some updating to the rooms, however the toilet in my room was old. It needed repairs - due to the slow leak. I had to turn off the water to the tank at night - because it kept turning on to fill up. A repair will save the hotel money and help with saving water resources."
