“Staying here was an amazing experience and everything we needed for a quick trip to Ellensboro and Shelby area. Karen was amazing in meeting with and us when we arrived and also showing us around the property/facilities. We were not traveling with horses but would definitely consider returning with horses in the future. Thank you Karen for an amazing experience and very clean and comfortable place to sleep!”

“Bob and Gayle were so helpful and available to us,the property is better in person, than in any picture you can see or read about. The privacy and beauty of this cabin is great. Activities to go to are within 20 to 40 minutes from the cabin. The spring fed pond was a great part of the property my dog and I swimmed every inch of it. The fruit trees and wooded area were an incredible add on to this property, my wife and I will definitely come back God willing. Thank you Bob”

“Really neat place if you want to get away from city life and enjoy peace and quiet. Owners are very friendly and responsive. I wasn’t there long enough to try the breakfast “which upsets me because I’m sure it would have been delicious”. Plenty of wildlife and stock animals that I’m sure kids would love it. Almost stole their cat though. We became buddies and everytime I would go outside, here came my little buddy to keep me company. I would highly recommend a stay here.”

“The property was beautiful and well maintained. The atmosphere in the loft cabin was very cozy and helped me and my partner relax when we weren't hiking nearby trails.”

“The frame on the bed came apart, dumping the futon onto the floor. The closet is so small, I had to drag the futon outside to re-set the wheels into their tracks on the frame. The shower is an absolute joke - it dribbles. The silverware trays have a year of crumbs and filth in them. I am 5'10", 225 pounds and could barely execute stool paperwork due to insanely tight quarters in the bathroom. You better bring a 4WD vehicle so you can get in and out of the mountainside driveway slot! The faux……

“Enjoyed the stay. We had a minor issue that a wind storm knocked at the internet but I made due. The appliances are in great shape and the host was very open to communicating the challenges and I’m pleased with the outcome. I’ll be back.”

“We loved our stay. Easy access for a car with a wheelchair. Although we couldn’t get the chair inside it was easy to charge it from an outlet and it was under the roof on the front porch. The views from the back porch were stunning and fun to look out at the night sky and twinkling lights below. I would suggest bringing spring water with you if you are not accustomed to well water for coffee and cooking. Be prepared for driving a distance to run to a store. It is a quiet get away from it all……

“We had an absolute blast at this home, it was very clean and the views were unreal. The home is set up great for families with lots of seating, plenty of kitchen pans, bowls etc, great beds and really neat bunk beds for kids.”

“Ive stayed at the airstream multiple times now,as its close to some land ive got in golden valley.its always clean,secluded and welcoming.the creek is one of my favorite parts,hearing it tumble over the rocks,and i like sitting in a chair in the middle of it and letting the minnows nibble at my feet,haha😁always a pleasure staying there👍❤️”

“The farm house was beautiful. Mr. Price was very nice. He took my nieces around his farm and they loved it. The house has tons of history. It was clean and had everything we needed.”

“The most pet-friendly place we’ve stayed. A clean, fenced backyard, a balcony/deck with good railings (no worrying that a dog might fall off), one of the bedrooms on the first floor so we didn’t have to use the stairs. The property was private, so we didn’t need to worry about neighbors. A well-stocked kitchen was a nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay.”
