Great location within easy access to the airport. Easy check-in. Clean and spacious room. Good air-con. Clean and well-presented throw-out our stay. The food was excellent. The staff were incredibly helpful and courteous. The quiet adults only pool was lovely and peaceful and we were well looked after by their team of staff. Wished we could’ve had more time at The Meru as it was at the end of our stay in Bali. The hotel was exceptional and luxurious. Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful, from porters, reception, wonderful personal concierge type service at check-in with a tour of the facilities and room, the fabulous breakfast buffet, dining and poolside staff, even the cleaning staff you’d meet in the hallways were so friendly. The location at the end of the boardwalk closer to the Sanur Port was quiet and the beachfront unobstructed by restaurants. Free 2 hour bike hire enabled you to cruise along and check out other spots, dining or shopping. The hotel and garden are beautiful, very grand and amenities, room, dining and service all 5 star plus great for families too. What a treat to have stayed, hope we can come back.

The place and the beach are very nice. It's quiet and suit those looking to unwind. We prefer some activities and night group playing to be able to mingle. We appreciate all thst the hotel offers. The staff are wonderful. The rooms are ridiculously big. We will, probably, not come back but would recommend it to people who are looking for high class amenities with quietness

I booked for three persons, before arriving I made a request for three separate beds. There was only one king size bed and they said that it was normal to sleep whit three persons in that bed. When I asked for an other extra bed the charge was 50 euro per night extra, eventually they made it 25 euro when is said it is not acceptable. There are two pools both are only 1,3 meter deep, very shallow in my opinion. There should be one deeper pool. Because of the coral reef is about 200 meters away and the tide takes the water out, a muddy pool is left over, so the sea is only accessible 50% of the time. So no good pool and no good swimming in the sea. The staff and rooms where excellent! The restaurant is quite expensive for Bali but excellent food. Overall the stay was good.

5 stjerner er ikke nok - SUBLIM OPLEVELSE

The Meru er intet mindre end et fantastisk sted. Vi har rejst mange steder i Asien på 5 stjernede hoteller, men har ALDRIG mødt så sublim service som på The Meru. Personalet vil gøre alt for, at du har det godt og du føler dig virkeligt værdsat. De har en butler-service, som hjalp os med alt fra ekstra rengøring, transport til indpakning af figurer i træ vi havde købt, så de kunne gå direkte i bagagen på flyet. Vi nød maksimalt alle 8 dage vi boede her. Hotellet ligger lige ud til vandet og ved strandpromenaden. Der er maksimalt 10 minutters gang til Icon Bali og restauranterne omkring. Der er ikke noget lige ved hotellet ( gå 3-4 minutter), men det gør også, at der er helt roligt om aftenen.
