Great location

Beautiful condo. Nice swimming pool and hot tub. Only problem was the pool table and game room were musty/moldy. Everything else was excellent.

Views & condo were amazing! Comfortable, calming, roomy & storm watching waves. Pool & hot tub perfect. Drawback was that the reservation confirmation said the pool & hot tub were CLOSED due to Covid & I almost cancelled. It took 5 days , to get confirmation that it was indeed open.

AMAZING

There was so many whales when we first got there that were so easy to see and it was incredible. The house was very very clean and beautiful. The only problem we had was the lock getting in and we couldn’t lock it the one time we left due to corroded locking key system on the entryway outside. We did have to take a picture of the code that is very long so that we could use pic to go fast and press in the numbers on the door lock to get in. Other than that everything was incredible.

Anniversary trip

We loved the property and location. However, there was a problem with the description of the property. The first thing I look for is if there is a king bed in the primary bedroom which the description said there was. However, this was not the case when we arrived. The king was in the secondary bedroom and a queen in the primary. Very disappointing.

Very Nice Place

Beautiful condo- 1st floor nice place

It was easy to check in. The place was clean. Beautiful views- it’s really on the ocean no joke about it. Safe area. Not far Newport or Lincoln City. It was 4 adults that stayed and we had privacy for both couples. I would recommend Ocean Star.

Fantastic View

This was a great place to watch the ocean and sometimes some whales. The home was clean and everything was working well. An easy walk to downtown or to Boiler Bay park.

Awesome Place

We loved this condo. Perfect location, very clean, and every accommodation you would need. We were able to whale watch from our balcony every day. The scenery is breathtaking. Would highly recommend this condo.

One of the Best Places to Stay on the Oregon Coast

We loved just about everything! Excellent beds, well equipped kitchen, great gas range, etc. Wonderful ocean views from the living room and bedroom. At the entrance, though, a sign asks that we remove our shoes, but watch your toes around the metal-legged furniture! Sofa and loveseat were comfy, but none of the chairs are at all comfortable—thin seat pads and none to cushion the metal backs (we're not "well-padded" people). The pool and hot tub were clean and inviting.

Disappointed

I have stayed in the Ocean Star condo at Depoe Bay on several occasions and before have found it a wonderful place to stay. It has beautiful panoramic views, classy furnishings and I have enjoyed how clean it was kept. So I was so surprised that it didn’t come up to expectations this last time. On arrival the fireplace was not working. Thursday night we had a hard time getting the fireplace to turn on and then it only stayed on for a very short period of time, like a few minutes. Afterwards it never would re-light and we tried several times both Thursday and Friday. We tried to call the number listed in the book on the counter but it didn't work so got this number off the website. It is 800-544-0300. We don't remember the name of the gentleman we talked to but he said that he would turn in the ticket and someone would call/come look at it when they picked the ticket up. We expected it to be that day. We called on Friday morning. Other items that were not up to satisfaction: 1. The instant hot wasn't working. The water that came out was cold and it was turned up to max. 2. There was no blanket on our bed. When preparing for checkout I found that housekeeping had left the blanket in the dryer. 3. Housekeeping was not too bad but little things like - the kitchen counter was smeared. Looked like they used a dirty rag to wipe it. - Coffee pot was dirty. - The Jacuzzi tub was dusty and so when I used it there was brownish foam/bubbles. This tells me it hasn't been rinsed out in a while - Vacuuming could have been better in the master bath/sink area. Now while most of these items are relatively minor, the fireplace really dampened our enjoyment. When you go to the beach a fire is almost a necessity! And the lack of response from the support team to either come fix the problem or minimally to keep us updated is inexcusable! The fireplace issue and the fact that place was not immaculate were more than disappointing, especially for the cost of the place.

Great getaway

First vacation since you know what and we couldn’t be more pleased. We do lots of research b4 we commit and this unit did not disappoint. We have no complaints whatsoever. The only surprise was the summer crowds because we usually vacation at off times, but the amount of traffic and restaurant incidents are not at all a negative where this unit is concerned.

Great spot

We love this complex! The condos are always so nice with great views! Also the best views of the whales breaching the water. Good size for a family. Clean. Has lots of things that are helpful(ziplock bags, random utensils, etc.) This room had a huge deck that was right over the water. Highly recommended!
