I was thrilled to find this charming historic spot on Oquaga Lake in upstate NY! It's exactly what I was looking for--peaceful, calm, quiet. The Inn had a canoe and kayaks, some music on the deck with drinks, and excellent dinners with kind and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and the bathroom roomy and spa-like. I am so glad this spot is still available and look forward to a longer stay next time.

This is a rural hotel. Not much nearby. However, we loved our stay. Unfortunately we were only there 1 night. Appeared to be an excellent place to relax for a few days. In house restaurant was very good. If looking for a nice place to relax, I definitely recommend. I'm hoping I have an opportunity to stay there again sometime.

It’s a great Location and classic lake inn rooms were spacious and clean but there was not enough staff. Food selections limited and nothing gluten free.

What a beautiful stay! So quaint and beautiful on the lake. The rooms are very roomy, beautiful bathrooms. The staff is lovely. Breakfast limited to only French toast or cereal but French toast was delicious! We came up for Binghamton graduation and everything was sold out in Binghamton. So happy we ended up staying here! Would come again!

We loved our over night at the Chestnut Inn and were made to feel like royalty. Danielle is a very special host and made sure we had everything to make us comfortable. Dinner was delightful on the terrace…the lake being steps away. Small but clean and cozy room with updated bathroom. Hotel furnishings very authentic Arts and Crafts with nice details. Breakfast was delicious and mote than we needed! Thanks for a special visit!
