  • Set on the edge of a bustling market town, this charming cottage has everything you need to enjoy your holiday.. Ground Floor:

    Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

    Bedroom 3: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds

    Bathroom: Roll Top Bath, Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, gas, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Fuel for multi-fuel burner available locally. Travel cot and highchair. Welcome pack. Large enclosed garden with patio and summerhouse. Bike store. Private parking. No smoking. Please note: Couples, families and holiday makers only. This property has a security deposit of £100.. Located just outside the bustling market town of Dereham, Dumpling Green is a charming, rural, village-style setting which benefits from having all the amenities of a large town, including an indoor swimming pool and leisure centre, golf course, a ten-pin bowling alley, cinema, shops, cafes and restaurants, all on your doorstep. Home to the Mid-Norfolk Railway, you can also enjoy an 11-mile trip through the countryside, into historic market town of Wymondham. Maytree Cottage, which is accessed via an unmade road, is a detached Potton house offering secluded holiday accommodation combined with modern convenience. The city of Norwich boasts a famous Norman castle, numerous museums, restaurants and shopping close by, and the pretty seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea with its famous quay is just 22 miles away. This really is the perfect place to base yourself while enjoying all that Norfolk has to offer. Just ½ mile away is the Mid-Norfolk Railway, where November-Christmas the Polar Express Experience is held. Supermarkets, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

We had a lovely stay at Maytree Cottage. We were away with friends for the weekend to visit the Polar Express Experience. The cottage was only a 25 min walk to the station for the Polar Express and only a 10 min walk to the nearest pub/supermarket etc.The cottage had everything we needed and was a good size to accommodate 4 adults and 3 children. The pool table was a huge hit with both adults and children!

A lovely warm and welcoming cottage which was equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The bed was very comfortable and the bath was amazing although it did take a little while to fill, but worth the wait. The little extras were a lovely surprise and I would definitely stay there again The only small negative was the the unmade road leading to the property which was very muddy and full of pot holes but I did visit during the winter and it had been raining a lot. This is a lovely cottage down a quite road with all amenities near by and I would highly recommend it. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely house and good location

This was a lovely feature house, with great space for our family week away. The house felt like it was in a quiet countryside, but still close to local shops and restaurants. Was in a great location for travelling to various seaside town of Norfolk while we were there.

Lovely cottage.

Lovely cottage. Minor point is that the boiler was noisy when hot water was running, so had to time showers for when our son wasn't sleeping (he was in adjacent bedroom). Large garden, fully dog proof ... our Norfolk terrier couldn't find a way out! BBQ facilities and pool table were great. Liz the owner was really helpful. Fully recommend, and my mum and son have asked to go back next year!

We had a fabulous family long weekend break here, it was a great cottage and very spacious with ever

We had a fabulous family long weekend break here, it was a great cottage and very spacious with everything we needed. The huge conservatory was wonderful and the pool table was used constantly by the boys especially, having competitions. The cottage had everything you would need from the plentiful kitchen items, to the extra outdoor seating in the summer house with bbq included. Plenty of seats, great large tv with speakers and dvd player. We loved the welcome pack, flowers, cake, tea and coffee sugar but we were also so pleased to see how thoughtful and considerate Liz was having items available on arrival, like washing up liquid, hand soaps, towels, bed linen (and all beds made up) toilet paper etc. and free wifi too! That made life easy without worrying immediately about shopping. We used the weekend to spend time together as an extended family, went into Dereham village, walked the dogs and went to Cromer to the beach for the day. We had a fab murder mystery night too - which was a really good giggle.

We booked a weekend for a surprise 60th birthday party.

We booked a weekend for a surprise 60th birthday party. There were 7adults and 3 children (and 1 dog) in the party, all were able to stay in the 4 bedrooms comfortably and the conservatory and pool table were very well used! The house was well equipped and very roomy. The only slight issue was the lighting in the kitchen as this was central only, which meant that every time we used any of the work surfaces, we were standing in our own light - not ideal when trying to prepare food. Liz, the owner was very helpful and the security deposit was returned promptly the day after we left the cottage. I would definitely recommend this cottage and would happily stay again.
