Reviewer Comments: Stayed week of July 8 had two sons in different condos with their families ,I stayed in 118 and found it not cleaned very well and furniture and bedroom needs updates. Top of fridge in all three condos haven’t been wiped off for awhile and one of my grandsons reach under couch for a pencils he dropped and came out with a hair and dust ball. I have stayed here every year for the last 26 or more years and doubt I will be back.l

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The overall condition of the unit was good. There are a few design flaws in the bedrooms for access to the closest and bathrooms. The cleaning crew missed a couple of spots in their general cleaning. However, the ownership needs to do a deep cleaning of the dishes in the cabinets and items not covered by the cleaning crew. The property was under construction during our stay because winter is the only good time to do construction on these buildings and grounds. I believe the status of the construction should be disclosed on the rental information and not be a surprise to guest when they arrive.

But we left a James Avery necklace hanging on wicker shelf where tv is and I called twice and no one every called me back to left me know if they found it. It was a $200 necklace Someone one took it and that I wasn’t happy with.

A Wonderful Time

The access to the beach is amazing and having the beach chairs included when you book direct is a wonderful treat. We traveled with three children and this condo makes it so easy. The beach is right out the door, great pool, tennis, shuffle board, and free movie rentals makes it where you never have to leave BUT if you decided to leave and explore this condo is located close to everything. One of the most relaxing vacations ever!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 118 has a perfect location! The kitchen is adequate, beds are comfortable. But the furniture is old, (recliner broken, sofas worn out). The internet in the unit was essentially unusable. (We had to go to the lobby to take care of some things that had to be done online.). Overall a good experience. But I might stay in a different unit until this one is updated.

Reviewer Comments: The arm on the recliner in our unit was broken, probably from previous renters sitting on the arm. We dealt with broken furniture in the unit we had last year also. We had to call in maintenance to set up TVs which we had to do last year also.

Reviewer Comments: As you walked in the condo looked like the owners simply use it to rent and do not take pride in it. You saw 4 different flooring types upon entering the unit. The majority of which was carpeting that did not seem clean. The unit also had a room with double beds which we thought would be great with children. It was not since the room with double beds had a door with access to outside. We had to give the kids the room with the king size bed so we could sleep in the room that had the door leading to the beach. All of the furniture also appeared and seemed dirty. The final issue was that the bath tubs did not have stoppers so the kids did not bathe. A family member stayed in the condo next door. We paid the same amount but her condo was much nicer. I was very disappointed and will not return.

Some were better updated than others but I’m sure this is a process with owners. We have been coming to HS&zero for 35 years. Always enjoy our stay.

Not the best service

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this facility for almost 12 years, and this was not the best experience. Upon arrival, we called about the arm chair broken and random outlets not working. When we got ready for bed, we noticed that one of the beds were broken. The beds were hard anyway, but being broke made for a sleepless week. The following day, they said it was fixed, but indeed it wasn't. The box spring was broken in half and they just put it back on the frame. Last day it got so hot in the room. We had to go get batteries to change the thermostat. Garbage disposal got clogged and when they came to try and fix it he cussed and banged on it. We started the dishwasher late that night because we had another load to start before we checked out. Around 12, we were awaken to the sink over flowing! Just overall not good.

12th year stay--have always loved HS but very dissapointed

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My sister's family and I have been coming to Holiday Surf every summer for the last 12 years. We have always enjoyed our stay, until this year. My understanding is that it's under new management. 12 years ago, it felt like a family oriented place, now--not so much. One of the main reasons that we have always stayed here is for Scott and the beach service. We have always paid for 3 sets of extra chairs and umbrellas to go along with the 2 complimentary sets. Scott has always gone out of his way to set them up together. This year on the first day that we got there, we asked if we could have a 5 top (all 5 together) and he said no-that the condo was at full capacity and he didn't know if he could sell any extra umbrellas all week. The one major thing going for Holiday Surf- is the fact that you can pay for extra umbrellas for the week and be all together and not have to wake up at 7 am to go place a towel on a chair. The beach was never anymore crowded this week than any other year. I understand that the sand is going away, but I do know that they pumped additional sand in a couple of years ago. The front desk closing at 7 was disappointing-the shuffle board stuff used to sit out so you could play between 7-9 but now you have to check it out. The condo really needs to add some low lighting (I know about the sea turtles) around the side walks because it is very dark when the lights go off at 9. We have never stayed in 118 and will not again. It was old and smelled moldy. The carpet is in terrible condition--and needs to be replaced. There was dust and dirt on the ceiling coming from a vent in the kitchen. I am not a high maintenance person, but this condo seriously needs some updating. We have always booked our next year's vacation on the last day of our vacation, but we did not this year because of vacation this year. We hope Holiday Surf makes some improvements, because we would love to come back, but will be looking to stay somewhere else next summer.

This unit was clean, but needed to be updated. We had the bare minimum amount of utensils in the kitchen. I will come back again, but would probably try to get different unit.
