“We stayed at the Mason cottage for two weekday nights to explore all the HGTV Home Town sites. The cottage was clean, and everything was as promised. Check-in was seamless with no issues. Smart TV (Roku) was easy to use. Distance-wise, it was no problem to walk to the historic downtown. That said, in the immediate area there are some streets without sidewalks or painted crosswalks, so be cautious.Like most Vrbo rentals, it’s best to bring your own body wash and shampoo. The thing I liked best……

“Our hostess was wonderful. We’d had a full day and were ready to relax. I loved this stay for some very personal reasons. Most people might not understand. My home is 120 years old, with uneven floors, character galore, at every turn…and the friendly creaks of doors and floors are like whispers of old souls/clouds of witnesses watching over our days and nights like a comfortable wink of peaceful encouragement from another time. This place was like “home” for my wife, dog, and I. We slept……

“Booked for anniversary trip from Dallas. Very clean, walkable to restaurants and downtown shopping. Really didn’t need vehicle. Took the laurelhome golf cart tour around HGTV “Hometown” renovated homes. We would definitely stay again!”
