"Most of the property was beautiful. However their beach was not maintained and was completely covered with sargassum. Definitely not the best smell if you’re sitting on your patio, at the pools, or eating at Margaritaville. To put it mildly, the area around the resort is somewhere between the 9th ward in NOLA and 8 mile in Detroit. Trash and junk vehicles fill the yards on Smith Bay Rd. Shady characters walk the streets at all hours of the day and night. STT has a high homicide rate, so travelers be aware of your surroundings. "

"The best location and the view is amazing. Great food. The property is recently renovated. It's close to the cruise ship port. The karaoke and amateur band night was a lot of fun! On site bar and restaurants. The rooms are immaculate a resort/timeshare style. "

"This property is truly on a Hilltop and the view from our room was beautiful. We could see the city and cruise ships docking down the hill. The restaurant in sight was a bonus and the staff was very helpful. I would stay again. "
