“As a solo traveller the room allocated to me was ideal for my requirements and very comfortable. If I were to come again I would definitely recommend an upstairs room. The ceilings \ flooring are very thin so I could hear everything going on upstairs late evening when I returned. “We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay.”
