“The hosts were so very amicable. We enjoyed spending time with them as well as their 2 furry babies. The meals that they prepared for us were excellent and beyond what we had expected and hoped for. We understand that the host family has other gites nearby. We hope to experience those places soon with them. We will certainly stay with the hosts again. Hopefully sometime very soon. ”

“The Nemea is next to the main Uni-Bordeaux campus should you have any business there. While right next to a hospital, it was very quiet (no sirens). Modern hotel, spacious rooms, motorized metal blackout blinds, kitchenette with small fridge and microwave, A/C that WORKED great during the past week when it was 99-104 F/38-40 C in the Bordeaux area. That said, there is not a lot of things nearby if you want food, other than a small bakery and a Krousty chain restaurant (stir-fried rice was rather……

“This was a lovely villa in a beautiful area. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. The kids loved the pool- (possibly older teenagers (which we didnt have) may have found it big enough between them?). However, it was perfect for the ages of our children - [four of them aged between 5 and 13]. The location was great for a wine tasting tour of a local vinyard (Carsin Vinyard - really informative and friendly), day trips to St Emillion and back to Bordeaux twice. Great supermarket nearby……

“Excellent house, lovely garden. Beautifully equipped kitchen. Comfortable sitting room. Host very helpful. Wines to purchase in house. Perfect selection of local wines. Good variety. Too cold for us to use pool. Must be great in summer. Immaculately clean. New linens. All very beautifully coordinated. Quiet village. Great shops in Brenne 15 minutes away. One of our party rented a bicycle and did rides in the vicinity We spent time in st emilion for lunches etc. Excellent in every way. ”
