"When we arrived at the hotel they did not have our booking in their system and looked very surprised to see anyone there. We were the only guests at the entire hotel, but they still did not have a room available for us at 3.30pm when we arrived. We got our room at 4.30pm but was told we should wait 1 hour with using the private pool as they had just put in the chlorine. The rooms are a bit messy and dusty. "We stayed 3 nights and found the property very relaxing and beautiful, simple but fresh breakfast was given. Nice and simple bedrooms, clean. They are doing construction near by so you'll occasionally hear some noises midday but it shouldnt be there much longer. Would recommend if your looking to get away from the city. Its definitely far away from most attractions but if you have a scooter rental or you use a ride share app its not bad, 45-60 minutes to Ubud or Kuta."

Unfortunately, the accolades stop there. Because the "retreat" is so remote, there are no other eating options nearby so guests have to rely on the hotel restaurant. "The property outside was so beautiful. The inside the room was cute, but strong mildew smell. The dehumidifier was really dirty. I cleaned it and turned on to remove dampness. I moved because closet outlet not working. Bed & pillows not comfortable. The people were truly kind and helpful. Restaurant not good at all skipped breakfast after eating dinner there night before. Also road was really busy and noisy. Overall good experience people so kind and friendly and helpful."

"The property itself is very nice. Didn’t realize it was in a secluded area that’s isolated and difficult to get in and out of. Within this area there are restaurants and beach clubs which aren’t included, and everything is so much more expensive than regular prices in Bali. But they can charge more cuz you don’t have access to anything else. The Expedia ad makes it seem like the beach club utopia and all is included, but the only thing it includes is the entrance. You still have to pay minimum $100 to rent our day beds and buy food and drink. Beach was closed the entire time we were there, through the beach club. Really nice sunset view, and the villas are really nice as well. I just don’t like how it’s like a resort but at the same time it’s not cuz you still have to pay for everything inside and it’s overpriced. If you’re gonna act like a resort, than all that should be included in the price of the stay. Staff were nice, food was not bad. Generally did not like the food in Bali and here were some of the better meals I had."

"Our stay at Nirjhara was amazing! We booked the jungle pool pavilion room and it was quite literally perfection. From the time we checked in until the day we left, we were greeted by name, with professionalism, kindness and with genuine warm smiles. The staff really raised the bar at this hotel. Aris, Doni, Tia, Duta, Hardi, Yohan and several others truly made a difference and elevated our whole experience. We will be dreaming about the exceptional food, luxurious spa, inviting pool and stunning waterfall for many years to come! We hope to come back. "

Peaceful, beautiful and quiet - perfect for a 3 night stay and a great location to explore the stunning Tabanan region - esp. villages, magnificent rice fields Bali is famous for, temples, night markets and cosy hill side cafes. "The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was amazing. However, they definitely need to improve on sealing the rooms as there are so many large gaps on every window and door as our kids had so many mosquito bites. They also need to close off the outdoor bathroom as my wife was unable to shower or use the bath tub in private as there was a room directly above the open bathrooms, there were also lots of ants and bugs crawling all over the bath tub so we couldn't enjoy it."
