Finding parking was a little difficult due to road construction, but every other aspect of the stay was great. Check-in was quick, and the host was quick to respond to my needs. I would definitely stay again!

Very Nice

This was a very nice room at a good rate. It was very peaceful with a park right outside. The bed and pillows were very comfy and the skylight in the room was appealing. The gentleman who works there is kind and helpful.

Stay here when in town!

This place is amazing!! It’s a perfect little kitchenette that’s is clean and comfy. The owner is a super nice guy! It seems odd because you have to call to get into the building, almost looks closed. But it is not! I completely recommend this small hotel and will be staying again next time I am in Hamtramck. My room even came with a shoe horn! It’s the little things that makes places like this the best!

This type of stay was just not for me. I got a message to call 30 minutes before we get there. The number you call is a personal cell phone. I had to ask if they were the hotel. At that time is when O found out its cash only do I had to find a bank to withdraw funds. You don't get a key, you're asked to take a photo of a paper with your room code on it. You can't touch the thermostat as it controls temperature in multiple rooms. After check in the office door is closed and locked. You have to call the number if you have questions or issues. Not a professional establishment in my opinion

When I checked in, they will only take cash and I don’t remember anything about it saying cash only online and they insisted on making a copy of my ID with my debit card which I questioned, and he really didn’t understand what my issue was so then we get to my room and the window is wide open with a fan in it. It’s 100° outside and you cannot control the climate from the room so the room was hot the entire time there was no bathroom door and no refrigerator or ice. Everything else was booked for the night so I ended up staying, but I don’t recommend it. It wasn’t worth the money. Also parking was horrible there is no designated parking lot..

Weirdest hotel i have ever stayed at. When GPS told me i had arrived, i couldnt even find the hotel. Its like an old apartment building that has been remodeled. No signage. Nothing to draw your attention that this is the place you need to be. Had to call to get in. Man answers the phone and says hell be there in 15 to open t.he door !?!? I misswd the fine print on how to check in. There is no onsite manager. No onsite house keeping. Room was clean, but there wasnt any tissues and no toilet paper holder. Just a roll of TP on the back of the toilet. There wasnt any shampoo or condition.... well there was an open bottle of head and shoulders in the shower... The shower gell they provided had gunk all over the tubes. No way to change the temperature of the room- no thermostat was in the room. It was hotter than Hades! On top of that, i was charged way more money than what i reserved the room for online! It should be interesting trying to get my money back. I have another trip to Detroit in April. I was going to stay here then. But i quickly canceled that reservation. Never again!

Where to begin? This “hotel” is kind of closed, it feels—- the “host” told me to call him 30 minutes before arrival—- I did not see that notification or any #. The whole street is under major construction and it felt like a ghost town tbh. I finally was able to call the host, who was really really rude. I asked if I could get a refund as I didn’t feel remotely safe. His reply? “Not from me”

Small hotel outside of downtown.

Stayed here after a lions game. Great place. These are comfortable, medium to long stay units rented out for competitive nightly rates. The interior is simple, but I was wanting for nothing. We had a queen bed, table with two chairs, kitchenette with full sized fridge, gas 4-burner stove, sink and silverware. Bathroom was well stocked with the standard toiletries and towels. There was no tub, but that wasn’t an issue. I do have to say that Veterans Park Hotel has, by far, the most comfortable pillows I have ever come acroas in a hotel. Notes: it is listed on the booking page but it looks like some of the other reviewers missed it, the front desk is not staffed 24/7. This makes sense because it does look more like a medium/long stay place. All you have to do is call the owner when you’re about 5 minutes out and he will meet you there. Also of note, there was a $150 deposit/room that was refunded promptly after check out.

Clean and peaceful

My stay on this hotel was wonderful, the owner very understanding as long as you follow rules. Me and my boyfriend stayed for 7 days we had a very relaxing getaway and being the clean freak I am I can assure that this place was impeccable. No dust at all. Perfect hotel for a long stay.

Room was small, but we knew it. Room was too hot, had to open window in November. Walls could have insulation, as could hear neighbor talking & coughing. But for the price, was not dispapointed.

Very nice efficiency apartment in cute small town

The remodeled building is spotlessly clean! Great use of space in the apartments, which had new bathrooms and kitchen facilities. Located next to a lovely community park, the building felt safe and secure. Hamtramck was an international experience. We enjoyed a Polish dinner and an Yeman breakfast. We saw a play at the Fox, and it was a short Uber ride to the theater. I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff, liked the location, clean, kinda small but at same time wasn't expecting much for price 2 things I didn't like easy to miss maybe get bigger sign and parking on the street but was free at least overall experience was good though
