The perfect spot!!

We loved this place so much! Absolutely perfect for our beach weekend. The location is unbeatable (3 min walk to beach and to restaurants/bars) and we also loved meeting our neighbors. The house itself met all our needs and we loved the balconies. Would definitely stay here again!

Family gathering

Last vacation with adult son for a while as he is moving from PA to WA. This was a perfect place that accommodated both us and our dogs. I think the dogs had more fun since they rarely get to go to the beach.

BEWARE!

This condo is NOT as advertised. The pictures and descriptions are MISLEADING. We saw, we smelled, we left, and rented somewhere else instead of this condo! NO just NO!

Great location but property in need of TLC

The beach was steps away and all the restaurants and entertainment was within walking distance. The property was in n need of repairs, things that weren’t quick fixes. The cleaning crew didn’t do a proper job, we had to clean it ourselves, but we did get the cleaning fee back. The Vacasa Agent Jessica, was very quick to respond and had resolutions for our concerns.

Great location, needs some TLC

Rental has a great location to the beach and is out of the loud, high traffic area of Dewey. It has a nice new dishwasher and fridge. Other than that the place needs a lot of TLC - the vent for the air conditioning return is filthy. The patio table was about to fall apart. When it was windy the gutter isn’t attached so it would bang in the wind. All the furniture is stained. We rain out of paper towels and there were no hot pads to take things out of the oven. They only gave you a tea goer and a wash rag for the kitchen. Also only two trash bags. No vaccum cleaner to clean up spills either.

The house worked for a pet/kid friendly place to stay close to the beach. The rental people were nice and quick to respond with issues (within 12 hrs got a blanket for bed) , the kitchen had new appliances and tvs in the house were nice. Other than that, the place and every wall or piece of furniture or even decor in it , was in fairly poor condition with stains, peeling paint, rusted, dirty, broken/chipped everything and not a single door (other than front door with a code) could shut or even latch. This made it difficult for any privacy in the bathroom or bedrooms at all, and a little dangerous with a child and dog that could walk in/out any room easily and with so many stairs.

Great location, needs some updating

Overall location was great and was walking distance to everything in Dewey, including the beach. Condo layout was ok, and appliances (sans coffee maker) were new. Wi-Fi was good. Has a new washer and dryer, but that's shared with condo 8A (this is condo 8B). Some updating would help: Furniture inside and outside could use some updating/replacement (worn). Area rugs, patio rugs stained. HVAC blower runs loud. Some doors were dodgy trying to close all the way. Seems like a condo that younger (20s?) folks would like for it's location and amenities (new appliances), ignoring an interior worn, but a family would notice and care more about the interior conditions. TL;DR If you want a great location for everything and don't mind some dingy imperfections with newer appliances this condo fits.

Dirty and smelled like mold.

Absolutely disgusting !! Not at all as listed. After 15 minutes breathing in moldy air I got a dizzy and my throat began to swell up. I left the property immediately. The hallway and walls were filthy with evidence of moisture damage in the corners .The air return was brown with dirt. Carpet 20+ yrs old furniture old and just painted Outside patio furniture rusted and the wicker was nothing but paint chips rotting off the furniture. I asked for a refund and was told there was nothing wrong with the unit. After NOT staying I was still charged cleaning fee and for my stay . I have been a realtor and a property manager myself for 23 years so I know a property that has mold in it. I was told because there was no visible mold on the walls the unit was not contaminated. Do not waste your money here.

Wonderful location and great layout of a townhouse. There is a rug in the kitchen and a rug in the living room; these rugs are so filthy I immediately rolled them up and put them on the outside balcony for the duration of our stay. The upholstery on the two couches and single chair is just as bad; I actually put the pillow covers through the washing machine just to feel a bit more clean. There is wall-to-wall carpeting throughout the staircase and bedrooms and it also looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in ages. The kitchen was well stocked of cooking utensils. The balconies were lovely to sit out on. We loved using the swimming pool. I would certainly stay here again if the carpeting + rugs were removed/cleaned. It would certainly help if the sofa upholstery was changed or at least, shampooed. It felt pretty icky looking and sitting on human sweat and other stains, etc. The townhouse could use a little lipstick and rouge as there are various nicks, scratches on wall, furniture, etc but the condo provided the basics where we enjoyed our stay with children and dogs.

Average property at best. Cleanliness was average to below, fixtures were old and very wobbly/loose, tiles were cracked and broken, walls in disrepair, interior doors did not lock and some closet doors did not shut. Overall not the best place to stay.

Comfortable Home in a Great Location

We had a wonderful long weekend with our dog. The home was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space! The location is great - a very short walk to the beach and within a short walk to all of the restaurants and bars in Dewey.

Great place for bay and ocean fishing

Loved the location. It worked well for our family. But would have loved if the washer had water to do laundry. Fishing and sand, we had smelly clothes and also no where to spray off our feet being that the outside water hookups were winterized. Guess washer is attached to that same hookup.

Does the job!

I was really nervous about this booking after seeing a couple of really bad reviews, but had already booked and it was non refundable so I went with it. The place was clean, more than enough space, right down the street from the beach, and dog friendly. Almost every room had a balcony attached, the top floor had a really nice one with great patio furniture. The only complaint I have is that the living room furniture grossed me out, it was stained and old. I still sat and hung out in it, but it wasn’t ideal. I’m very easy to please and would not complain about a lot, so I’m not sure if I have lower expectations than others, but I say it was totally worth it! We went to the beach with the dogs every morning and afternoon, walked down the street to some amazing restaurants and bars, and the people around were really friendly (except for one neighbor in the complex who made a few comments about my dog’s breed, and argued her stereotyped opinions). I would stay here again!
