“Unfortunately our reason for visiting the area was a family funeral, but we could not have been happier with our stay at Chateau Monroe. The hosts thought of literally everything, and when you’re traveling with small children (and dogs), having what you need after a long drive is priceless. Chateau Monroe was spotless, and so cozy and we loved the modern and industrial decor and touches. It’s obvious a lot of thought and love was put into this home. “A small mishap with not having the code to get in but was remedied within 15 minutes. The house was beautiful, and the huge porch was a plus for early morning coffee, very clean and well stocked. Will absolutely come back!”

“Cute remodel of an older home in the town of Olney, IL. Quiet neighborhood with friendly folks. The host was very responsive (like immediately!) to questions as well a minor issue of logging into the streaming TV services. Speaking of which, there are very nice, large flat-screen TVs in every bedroom (3) and living room, which was greatly appreciated during March Madness. The house has a few quirks, but very comfortable and cozy, with everything you need for a few nights or even a longer stay.”

“Everything was great! Just wish there were better pillows. Pure we’re very small and lumpy. We had a king bed and would have been better with bigger and not so worn out . For the cost we paid I’m sure they can afford to pay for new pillows! Breakfast was great! ”
