Relaxing & beautiful

We stayed in this house last year and was hoping it would be available this year. We were so excited that it was available. We stayed a week and we loved it. My mother has some mobility issues, this house was perfect for her. She had a room on the bottom floor and was very comfortable. It is in a beautiful area, not far from town, and many things to do near by. We will be back.

Great getaway weekend

We enjoyed the location of this cabin, secluded enough but easy to get to. Sky Valley is a nice resort. House was clean, great layout, big rooms and bathrooms were updated. Very quiet location convenient to many places- we visited Franklin and Dillsboro. Hiked Scaly Mountain and Blackrock. Our only glitch was access code to door did not work - casa was helpful but glad we arrived before dark. Leaves were everywhere which made walking to door tricky. No firewood for pit. No Tv instructions- but we like the movie selection and figured out the voice remote. No check out instructions which was odd. Overall I recommend the home!

fair but some issues

property was old but clean. No instructions on how to use anything. Property has huge gas fireplace. Could not get to work. No instructions! Confusing not knowing who I am dealing with. I thought I rented from VRBO, but all the information came from vacasa. Also got charged added booking fee I did not understand. Check in and out, emails were good.

Nice house, but issues and maintenance did not respond.

The house was very nice with some great antique furniture, but there was a strong musty smell. The house could have used an air purifier. The house was clean, kitchen well supplied, plenty of towels and bedding supplies, and the beds were comfortable. It was a beautiful neighborhood with great views! We were looking for a house with a fireplace which this one did. It was a gas fireplace (we have one at home), and the pilot light didn't seem to be lit. We could not get it started or instructions how to light it. There weren't any instruction manuals. I reached out to Vacasa through texting. They gave a few responses, then did not respond. I had to text them three times over two days to remind them we were still waiting. I was told two times that they were letting the local maintenance know, as if it had not been told previously. I was told local maintenance would be out that day and we never heard from anyone. There was someone at the house at all times. There weren't any instructions on what to do when checking out. I had to call Vacasa to find out what the procedures were. We have stayed in a Vacasa house before and had no problems. This will make us reconsider using Vacasa.

Very nice location. Interior was very clean & well stocked with what visitors need. I would go back, perhaps next summer.The only negative was the exterior of the unit. Lots of cobwebs, could use a good cleaning.

Thank you for a wonderful relaxing vacation away from city life. The home is located in a wonderful location in Sky Valley 20-40 minutes away from some cool towns with shopping and breweries to try some local beers. The home is fully stocked with everything you need in the kitchen all you need is to bring the groceries. There is tubing, whitewater rafting and waterfalls all in near by towns to do day trips. Thank you for allowing us to spend a week relaxing and spending time together as a family.
