Could be better

Its a nice property, seems new (i think tehy said they opened last year) with sheep/ponys, pond, and nice area to walk your dogs. However, the water bottle in the room looks like it had already been used with water still in it (saw another review of it too), and the shampoo/shower gel was already empty upon arrival. I had expected this to be replaced the next day, but when returning to my room at ca. 4pm the next day, the room was still not made. I went to the reception to ask for fillup since I cannot shower, and they sent some non-EN speaking people and tried to ask me again what I needed. I just sat there waiting for them to do the minimal, to fill up shower gel so that they can go, so my room was not made in the end. The following days, they also only started doing our room only at around 4-5 pm, which in my opinion, is very inconvenient. After being out all day and coming back before dinner, I had to wait a long time outside until they were done. They seemed stressed. Maybe they need to hire more people for room cleaning or its just a show. Also, there seems to be no room service at all and not even a possibility to get take away from the hotel restaurant, which is also very inconvenient, considering there are basically NO restaurants within a walking distance around the area, and upon arriving, the restaurant was already fully booked. Would be nice if take away (not even room service) could be offered). If these things could be fixed, I would return.

In all honesty , the hotel itself was beautiful , very clean and the spa was excellent for what it was. HOWEVER, I have an abundance of complaints. Firstly, the location. Despite showing many Ubers and Bolt vehicles within the immediate area, not a single one of them responded despite accepting the booking initially. This meant that despite having a major theme park 15 minutes away, you are scammed into paying in excess of €50 per taxi ride after asking the hotel reception about booking one. I felt extorted and left without any other option but to pay it. A taxi ride to and from Walibi Rhone-Alpes and one to La Tour Du Pin train station costing €150 is ridiculous. Getting around this place is impossible so I do not recommend it unless you have hired a car. Locals know how difficult it is and so charge such a high price for a service and the hotel knows this too. Secondly, the spa being open until 11pm was great when you actually book it. We were charged €39 per person, charged two meals to the room and still I wasn’t given an invoice or itemised bill by the end despite paying €200 at check in as a deposit. Instead of paying the extra and taking the €200 deposit, I was double charged €292 while still awaiting for the refunded amount of the initial €200 deposit. No confirmation email or physical invoice was provided so I will be contacting my bank as soon as I am back from the UK to request the deposit back. Overall I would not recommend coming back here until they improve.
Food was decent enough but very limited menu.
Room was basically a Hilton standard hotel room, two beds shoved together.
Phone number of the taxi “company” that seems to be the only way you’re able to get around. Very expensive and very inconvenient.
Chateau was beautiful though, they just need to improve transportation links / sidewalks etc.

Un domaine exceptionnel, calme, avec ce château très bien entretenu. Nous avons séjourné dans l’une des annexes, une chambre « classique » qui était vraiment très belle. Propre, bien agencée, décorée avec goût et soin. Une très belle découverte. Nous avons aussi profité du spa, du restaurant et du petit-déjeuner, tout était absolument parfait 🙂 on reviendra avec grand plaisir !

Das Essen im Bistro ist extrem lecker, auch das Frühstück im wunderschönen Schloß ist sehr gut, mit einer großen Auswahl und einem schönen Ausblick auf den Park. Das Schloß selbst ist ganz wunderbar eingerichtet. Wir waren jetzt schon 2 x dort. Das Schloß liegt ideal, wenn man von der Schweiz aus kommend auf der Durchreise nach Südfrankreich ist, in einer ganz idyllischen Umgebung. Das Personal ist sehr kompetent und hilfsbereit

Pas à la hauteur d’un 4 étoiles

Malheureusement, les prestations proposées ne sont pas à la hauteur du standing présenté… Pour nous trop de fausses notes pour un domaine qui, de l’extérieur, semblait grandiose. La chambre dans laquelle nous avons séjourné était confortable, relativement propre, la moquette au sol nécessite un entretien particulier si l’on veut que cela reste hygiénique et là ça ne l’était pas. Pas de vérification sur le niveau des savons dans la salle de bain et malheureusement celui pour les mains était vide, un volet qui ne fonctionnait pas, un évier bouché…. Cela commence à faire beaucoup pour un établissement 4 étoiles. Quant au spa que dire, nous n’avons jamais été dans un spa aussi bruyant, tellement de chlore que vos yeux en prennent pour leur grade. En bref, nous sommes déçus de notre séjour. Cependant les gros points positifs sont l’extérieur du domaine qui est magnifiquement arboré mal également le professionnalisme des réceptionnistes.

Havre de paix

Super beau domaine et agréable en couple ou en famille Nous avions juste pas la notion que le spa était sur réservation et interdit au moins de 16 ans. Manque d’information sur hôtels.com par contre tout le personnel est accueillant, bienveillant. À refaire encore et encore nous avons tous adoré.

Le spa est payant alors qu’il est indiqué que seuls les massages le sont. Le matin impossible de dormir à cause des aboiements d’un chien. Le lieu est sublime et la chambre très belle.

Bella scoperta

Bella struttura immersa nel verde dotata di Piscina, SPA e zona relax. Camera confortevole e spaziosa, arredamento minimal moderno molto apprezzato. Colazione buona servita nel corpo centrale.
