"My room was pretty with a garden view, the staff was pretty good except for times receiving wrong information from different staff members pertaining to checkout and meeting Amstar transportation rep. The food was horrible I would rate it 3/10 the food was cold at both buffet restaurants. "

"I’ll start by saying the food was below average and made me and my boyfriend’s stomachs upset the whole trip. Good thing our room had 2 bathrooms. Secondly we got harassed every single day to eat their “premium” breakfast so they could pitch us a time share. They also walked around the resort trying to get people to buy their excursions. Every day multiple times a day we were pulled to the side to try to be sold on something. It was NOT relaxing at all. Next the beds were super hard and I woke up with a backache every day. The staff acted like they did not want to help us at all. There were very few helpful and hospitable staff members. The service at every restaurant sucked and we barely got silverware or drinks even given to us at the buffet. The only saving grace at this resort was the Olivo restaurant. The server was awesome and the food was good. Also, the drinks were extremely inconsistent. We would have good drinks at one restaurant one day and the next day they were disgusting. I would definitely not recommend this resort to anyone unfortunately. The location was good but the overall experience was disappointing for all the money that was spent. On one more note, if you do anything outside of the resort an are transported by a company, be prepared that the staff drive crazy and at multiple points in each ride, I was scared we would get into an accident. And we had 3 different drivers so it is not one specific driver that was the issue, that is just how they drive here"

"it was beautiful to relax but the hospitality was awful and the hotel rooms toilets and showers need to be fixed and not flood the whole floors or clog up the toilets and no entertainment really "

"This is a beautiful and clean but dated resorted. The food was good, not great. The steakhouse and buffet was our favorites and the Mexican restaurant was our least favorite. We loved the piano bar. I felt safe and we never got sick. "

"At check-in, we were told that we were getting an upgrade at no extra charge, to be on the lower level and closer to beach and restaurants. The lower level and being closer to beach and restaurants was appreciated. Room was nice and comfortable. Only disappointment was view from balcony, was no garden or ocean view. View was of the back of the property. Below balcony was a hedge, lawn was well kept but then a paved path where the property service vehicles brought supplies back and forth along a chain linked fence. On the other side of the fence was a marshy area and then an open field that the back of other apartment like buildings backed onto. It was nice to have a balcony but was not much of a view to look at. "

"The staff was very friendly. The food was ok. Getting a coffee refill took time. It was nice having coffee in the lounges. Our room was situated overlooking the pool and at night receptions held there very loud All in all a good place with an amazing beach!!"

"So this hotel really was a game of 2 halves - firstly the room -well equipped but we paid for a swim up pool which we never used because it never got any sun. That also meant that clothes wouldn’t dry on the veranda and after rain the Bali bed was mouldy and the grass was just a mud swamp so we never sat in the verandah either. We mentioned to our butler that our clothes were damp and were smelling after trying to wash them to which we were given a laundry price list where they wanted 4 dollars for a piece of underwear! The food was inconsistent and at 9am often the hot food (mainly bacon) was gone and not replaced. The Asian restaurant that you had to book had you in and out in 50 minutes and with little options of choice. Not really a teppanyaki experience to write home about. Diet drink options were limited. Good luck in finding bottles of Coke Zero! And the draft versions were variable with syrup and water mix incorrect. There are branded drinks but don’t expect branded wine unless you want to pay extra. And fizzy wine 6.5% proof I’ll leave you to finish that review! Having said that the beds were sooooo comfy, the pools cold and refreshing and the gym and classes were some of the best I’ve experienced on vacation. Also whilst you don’t need to tip but it’s expected so changing money was never a problem. Would I go back? Probably not and whilst it has the potential to be 5 star it’s short by far at the present time."
