The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful. The building is VERY old and in need it lots of attention, but in spite of age, rooms were clean, and beds were comfortable. The price makes it a great option for just one night on the road.

For a motel in the lower price range this was very good. The landlady Kate was extremely helpful despite there having been a power cut in the town for two days running, and causing quite a headache for her. We will be staying in Douglas again so we've booked the same place.

Older one story motel with clean room, exceptional quality of sheets, mattress, pillows, and towels for an older budget motel. Did not take advantage of the included breakfast but it had waffles, usual dry cereal, bread, plus some fruit, coffee, tea, etc.

Simple improvements would make this place much nicer. Scrubbing then caulking around the bathroom tile would be huge. Also repairing drywall beside the toilet where the water damage is would be a simple fix in the long run.

I woke up the inn keeper after midnight needing a place to sleep on a cross country trip and she was so kind. Went in for breakfast the next morning (which had plenty of options) and she asked if I slept well and if I got the rest I needed for the next leg of my trip. My room wasn’t “perfect” but it was clean and comfortable. As a single woman traveling, I felt safe and secure enough to get a good nights rest. It’s not a “5 star” sort of place but I got 5 star treatment.

Th front desk lady, Kim, was very helpful and pleasant. However they have some maintenance issues. The tiles in the bathroom were loose and the grout was chunking out. The floors needed a thorough vacuuming. Their sign said “under new management” so I do hope they clean things up.
