We stayed as a family with two children for one week in July 2025 in this cottage.Good:It’s a spacious cottage set in a well-kept, large garden with a clothesline. The location is great for exploring the coast, Sligo, and the Ox Mountains, and it’s very quiet.There are four bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen with a washing machine. There is ample parking space.The cottage was clean and matched the pictures. The beds were okay.The landlady lives next door and was very friendly; she explained the features of the house to us.Less good:Much of the equipment is quite dated, such as the microwave, fridge, kitchenware, couch, and towels. Some bedroom wardrobes have a musty smell. The dishes and cutlery are a random mix of many old sets. Apart from one roll of toilet paper, there were no basic supplies.What was missing:Soap, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, kitchen paper, salt and pepper, potholders, aluminum foil, trash bags, scissors, vacuum cleaner, trivets for pots, coffee maker, hairdryer, and a garden table.And there was no Wi-Fi, much to the dismay of the children.
