This is a really cool place to stay. In a quieter part of Dublin, but good if you like walking. Lots of pubs and restaurants within a 10 minute walk and about 35 min walk to city center.

A very useful base for a concert at the Aviva stadium in a quiet residential area. A straightforward 25 minute walk in a safe area. It is a trek from the city centre but the bus was easy to get and very handy as stops at the top of the road. It’s also on the direct bus route to Dun Laoghaire - a lovely little seaside town where I spent the following day. There’s also some restaurants/bars and a Tesco on the main road where bus drops off by the accommodation. The accommodation provided easy come and go access with a door code. My room was through the conservatory and backed onto the “garden” which was nice. The room felt very cosy and the bed was one of the best I’ve slept on! The shower could have done with modernising but everywhere was clean, which is the main thing.

Very convenient Tesco Express nearby, serviceable and restaurant around the corner, though better meal options easily accessible nearby. It was a great location for accessing Dublin City center and UCD, both easy bus rides or about 20-30 minutes enjoyable walk away.

Clean and well maintained, in a excellent location if going to the RDS or Aviva, and about a 30 minute walk to the city centre. Perfect if you just need a place to sleep after a night out in Dublin.

Excellent guesthouse

Thanks so much to Terry and his staff. They made my stay at Donnybrook Hall very comfortable. It is a lovely property, out of the way of the noise of the city but close enough to walk to the centre and still experience Dublin!

PROs: Good location, clean room, friendly staff, and the newly renovated bathroom was very nice. CONs: In level 1 room you can hear the floor above walking around (light thumping), room has a bit of a damp smell to it, and using the electronic lock on the doors was finicky and frustrating a couple times. Overall a good spot and would recommend/revisit.
