This hotel was pretty good in terms of facilities - if you want a nice sea view suite, spa, pools, gym, little shop, decent brekkie etc... It's got the lot. What it falls very short on is service - you do not get that 5* service and some of the staff were just not happy to be there... Pool bar guy - miserable, guy on reception - miserable and egg guy - positively rude! Maybe it is because I had the audacity to book at expensive prices outside of the peak season..? Maybe it was understaffed and the strain was showing. I did speak to the manager, who was very helpful and slightly surprised (or at least a master actor!) The main issue was room management - maids were lovely, but did bare minimum and didn't restock anything e.g. towels, shampoo, bodywash etc... if you run out you need to notify them coz they sure as hell ain't gonna check. They also choose to remake beds as opposed to change sheets. Again, if you want a fresh bed - you need to ask - then they do and do v.nicely! Minibar management was a fiasco and worked at odds with chamber maid routine... Chamber maids clearly are briefed to leave all used glasses in the room where they stand and then minibar man comes at any random time to take away and replenish/ check minibar...? Crazy... Room looks great but then you haver old coffee cup and wine glasses left out... In a week we had to call for stock ups of bathroom products, towels, cups, glasses etc... Could do better!
