“Our stay was just perfect, the rooms were fairly basic as expected but clean and welcoming (the queen bed was super comfortable). We ran out of coffee and toilet paper but its only a short trip to reception/bar to put everything right. The resort is perfectly located, surrounded by rainforest and beach. The food and service at the bar/restaurant was superb.”

Apart from baseline utensils and goods, there are extra: 2 umbrellas already at the front door ready to be used, a torch (in working order - in the bedside table) if need at night, kitchen and dinner table organised as BBQ under cover + trees in front of the bungalow with full kitchen utensils in the plastic tub etc...”

“Our stay at CapeTrib Farmstay was a trip back to nature. It gave us peace, relaxation and home comforts and all secluded within the farms ripening fruit trees. The cabin had an air conditioned bedroom a funtional bathroom and the extended canopy provided cover for comfy seating and a kitchen with gas burners and fridge freezer in an open air environment. Our Host Sam provided us with a fresh picked fruit platter which was a delight and he was very helpful with local knowledge and his kindness……

“Under the circumstances with our stay being post cyclone Jasper, we were very pleased with accommodation being a safe, secure, well maintained in a beautiful location in Daintree. Our host, Greg, was knowledgeable, accommodating and served us substantial meals twice a day. We enjoyed listening to his various, adventurous life experiences.He took us for a walk on the property, where he is growing various types of tropical fruit which we were able to pick and eat. “Amazing place! Has everything you need except cellular service - but let’s be honest you don’t need that either. Host was great and had suggestions on things to see nearby. The on property swimming hole was so nice for a hot summer day. Visit the insect museum nearby if it is open. ”

“There are no words to describe the experience of staying here. The listing looked too good to be true. Even after we walked through door and checked out the surroundings, to the tune of cricket song, it felt like we stepped into another dimension so different from our tired, stressed-out reality. It is rare to find such clean, safe, first-world luxury in the middle of a prehistoric rainforest! And Jacquie thought of everything to ensure we were well prepared for our visit - she was so responsive……

“The setting was beautiful and peaceful but if you dont like to be visited by Daintree insects during the night or are private like me with my bathroom habits with my partner yhrn this place may not suit you. At night bugs are attracted to the light and the bathroom and toilet is completely open to the elements meaning all types of insects ventured into the bathroom at night which was really stressful as you didnt know what you would find when u opened the door. Also if you need to go to toilet……

“The home was very comfortable to stay in, and even though neighbours are around in this rainforest space, it was still very private. Being perched on the side of the hill the views are expansive, and it catches any breeze making it a comfortable place in the tropics. We found it very comfortably for two, with lots of space indoors and out. The multi-level deck/verandah and plunge pool were a standout. We had a mixed week of rain and sunshine, and could spend time comfortably sheltered on the……

“it is a lovely property in the rain forest with a gorgeous view, a beautiful semi-outdoor bathroom and cooking facilities and is perfect for a stay for a couple or a single person who want(s) to have a very comfortable nature experience. It is both ecologically low impact and immensely practical. A nice touch is the outdoor bath. I will return with hubby next time!”
