Beautiful historic home with great views

We had a great weekend in Dubuque for a friends getaway! The house was clean and well stocked and had comfortable beds and a beautiful view! Lots of historic charm! Be prepared for stairs as documented in the listing but it’s worth it.

The house is everything we wanted and expected. Plenty of space to be together or alone. House was well stocked and ready for our stay. Loved the front porch view. We loved the place and have already started planning for a repeat visit next year.

This was our second stay at this lovely home. The home is super charming and beautifully restored with modern amenities that made it a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The beautiful front porch was perfect for gathering and the views were stunning. Looking forward to another stay soon!

Great place to stay in Dubuque

Our family of 5 stayed for one night and I wish we could have stayed longer. Loved sitting on the front porch and looking out over Dubuque! Fantastic house with great view. The location is perfect for walking downtown, to coffee shops, restaurants, etc… We will definitely be back!

Girl’s trip

Girl’s trip before 45th high school reunion. The house was great and the perfect size for 8 people. Well kept and nice furniture throughout. We did need better lighting in the dining room for games, etc. Overall, very enjoyable trip with lots of laughs.

Wonderful House

This was our second stay and we are already looking at the calendar to see when we can return. This is a great house! The location is perfect for walking downtown to restaurants, shops, breweries, etc.. The house is amazing inside and has a great kitchen. The view is fantastic and you will never want to leave the front porch!

Home away from home

We had a group of 10 that came from Texas for a wedding. We needed a big enough place for us all. It is a beautiful house with a fantastically beautiful view of Dubuque. We will come and stay again.

A great stay!

This was a group of ladies, all 65 years old. We loved the house, the front porch, and the view. The host was awesome and very responsive. The kitchen had everything we needed. The light in the dining room was a bit dim for game-playing, but was fine for eating. We would definitely stay again!

Just as advertised

Dubuque's front porch was exactly as advertised. Beautiful older home that's tastefully updated while still keeping it's older home charms. beautiful view of the city, easy walk to dining and drinks. quiet and peaceful. very very nice. as advertised, be ready for some stairs. but the short climb is worth it for the view. we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it.

Historic Home with Modern Conveniences

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely home and couldn't have been happier with our experience. This historic home’s timeless charm has been maintained while modern conveniences added making our stay very comfortable and perfect for a gathering of friends. The front porch was a wonderful place to relax and take in the stunning views of the surrounding area. The location was excellent and provided easy access to all the local attractions. We had an amazing experience staying at this vacation rental, and a big part of that was due to the exceptional service provided by Brian. From the very beginning, he was friendly, responsive, and accommodating, making sure that all of our questions were answered and that we felt comfortable and welcomed. We are staying at this same home later this summer and looking forward to our return.

Wonderful house!

We loved our stay here in Dubuque! The house was perfect for our group of 7 adults and 2 small children. We appreciated that there were enough towels and dishes for us all. Also, everything was spotless - no small feat with a larger home and all the details of a historic house. The big table worked great for family meals all together! The steps up or down are no joke, especially to go down to the restaurants/shops, but were not a problem. Some of our group did opt to walk back up the switchback road with a sidewalk rather than the stairs from Bluff Street. Some in the group were concerned about air conditioning in an older house, but it worked great and kept cool with daytime temps in the 80s. Everything was great, and we would definitely stay here again if we go to Dubuque!
