Each time we returned from our excursions, there were dry towels waiting to be used for the hot tub! The fire table was also used on a daily/nightly basis too. This was just the perfect spot. 「We were greeted by friendly luggage porters in kilts to this beautiful historic resort who loaded up our large suitcases on carts and once checked in, the porter delivered them to our room. We had a nicely decorated room with a large smart tv and a very comfortable king bed. We ate at the pub the first evening and the food and service was exceptional. 「The old building was very nice, good parking, and location facing the water was great!! Downside - it is above a restaurant and BAR. Very noisy until late hours. Walls & floors thin. Empty booze bottles scattered at the end of the hall and the balcony from other guests that continued the party- right outside our room. I would have said something on check out, but the process consisted of us just leaving your key in a basket at the entrance.」

「Location, location location! The only thing this motel has going for it is the location and the gorgeous sunsets. The common areas are dark, with dated dark carpet that is lumpy and dirty. We had a room in the lower level, the staircase was dimly lit with dark old carpet and walls, nothing inviting about this place. We entered our room and the first thing we noticed was that the head of one bed was lower than the foot, the other bed was flat but not comfortable. Everything was dingy and old, the...

「Our room was lovely, but we had several issues. Bathroom floor was covered with hair, the TV didn’t work. We had to request towels(they forgot to put any in our room), but they were very apologetic and immediately provided us with some. Most importantly, there was no hot water in the shower…cold water! Our suite was very expensive, so a wished we did not have these issues.」

「The place it’s on the woods perfect if you want to connect with nature the house was dirty and the room where I was to stay had a strong musty smell (the room was in the basement). I ended up not staying.」

「It’s a beautiful historic property. We were greeted on arrival and given great information about the area. It’s a short walk to the Main Street shops and restaurants. Rooms were clean, temperature controls were available and felt very private. We did not get to enjoy the onsite cafe but will look forward to it next trip.」
