“Great house well-equipped for large groups. The house was super comfortable with spaces and entertainment for adults and kids. The kitchen is very well equipped despite not having a stove/oven, and it’s clear the owners have put in every effort to make sure you have everything you need. We mostly missed out on the absolutely beautiful mt. hood views due to rain - I guess we’ll have to visit again soon!”

“The home was great and the view was even better! The house had everything we needed and it was nice and secluded. The kitchen was completely stocked with spices, utensils, and coffee that was not expected but greatly appreciated! Our only concern was some wasp we found the first night. We found about 8 wasp in bedrooms and the kitchen the first night we were there. After that we didn’t have any problem. Overall would recommend 10/10!”

“Property was terrific. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. We flew to Oregon for an early Christmas with family and so appreciated that the home was fully decorated for the holiday. Made the time there even more special. Would definitely stay here again.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the "Mountain Rose" ask Majestic Mountain Retreat. It was clean, comfortable beds, and was well stocked for cooking/dining at home. This cabin is nicely decorated - updated and comfortable/cozy. I've stayed in many rentals in Govy and this is my new favorite. Nice that I could bring my small dog along also. I only docked one star in my review because the map pin in the listing is not reflective of the actual location. Location is not up in Alpenglade, it's just right off……

“Easy access. Fantastic view. Driveway is steep and too tight for a sedan and truck. House appears to be recently renovated so a few things missing, but well supplied kitchen. Everything appears to be new. For five senior women the trundle bed was not the best and we were sorry it was too windy to enjoy the outdoor seating area which looked fabulous. Wildflowers were great.”

“Nice place. Older house but modern updated kitchen/bathrooms. Really well-stocked kitchen supplies. Amazing views. They have added a tv to the living room, and some streaming was available to us without our own devices. No music player except a 'home pod' device of some kind we didn't know how to use. Steep driveways a bit tricky, and lots of stairs to front door. Great walking trails up bluffs just a block down the street. Was unsettled to find mouse live-traps in closet, which they claim were……

“The views of Mount Hood and the Columbia River were amazing. The host provided extras for children like toys and high chairs, and for dogs, there was a kennel. The house is filled with fun modem features, including double ovens, smart tvs, soaking tub, and rain shower. There are lots of entertainment areas, including two living rooms indoors and three outdoor seating areas. The only drawback is the traffic noise from the highway when you are outside. The interior waa very quiet.”

“This home is right on the main street of Parkdale, OR, and is just a few minutes off the highway that takes you from Hood River up to Mount Hood. There is a hot tub on the property (in the backyard, with a great view of Mount Hood!) but the cover to the hot tub is broken and difficult to maneuver if you are by yourself. I contacted the property manager a few times about it but no one came to fix the issue during my stay. I did not cook at the house, so I cannot say much about the kitchen, but……

“This is our second time staying at Baernhaus- it has become our go-to place to stay in Government Camp. Clean, sleek, modern but very cozy. Perfect location- short 1 block walk to Govy, yet completely private setting, elevated in the trees. Nice separation of bedrooms from common areas. Bedroom arrangement better suited for families but workable for couples. Definitely staying here again!”

“Nice, roomy space with a beautiful view and all the necessary amenities! There is a freeway and train track right outside the back door, but they provide white noise machines if needed. We slept fine, as the noise is fairly muted. Rooms do not have blackout curtains, so you want to bring sleeping masks if you need it dark. :)”

“The epitome of a Christmas cabin. Quaint and quirky with all its different landing levels and window shapes. Just enough rustic charm with all modern amenities a bigger family hopes for. Great proximity to Skibowl and tubing and ton of pubs and cafes, enough wooded privacy to feel like your secluded in the woods. We hope to return again! Thank you for sharing your home with us.”
