This was a great location for exploring Duluth. Though located on the far west end of the general Duluth area, local roads connected easily to the main driving arteries making it easy to get most places without undue traffic problems. The space itself was very nice. Clean, mostly quiet and if you have a cell phone, the hosts were available for assistance. If, like me, you do not like cell phone they were unavailable.

The property itself is in a lovely, semi-rural location, yet is only a few minutes drive into Duluth. It is a comfortable place to stay and has all the amenities you'd need for short, or even longer term stays. The hosts are very welcoming. I'd stay again if we are ever back in the area.

Great place, clean and quiet.
This is the second time we have stayed on this property, the first time being before COVID. Lovely neighborhood, quiet and easy to locate. The space had everything we needed to be comfortable and feel safe.

Cute, comfortable, great location
Checked in Friday late afternoon and left Sunday morning. The bed was very comfortable and I'm told the futon was comfy to sleep on. The entire place is nice and I enjoyed the view out the windows. Parking is close and not having to walk any stairs was handy. I thought the price was reasonable. It had a country feel to it while being close to town. I would like to come back when I can stay longer since we were gone all day Saturday.

Winter wonderland
Thank you for letting us come a day early on such short notice. We really appreciate that. Your place is cozy, well appointed, and in a wonderful location. We were there during a big snowfall and the wooded setting was gorgeous. It worked very well for us. We were there 3 nights and the first night we didn’t here anyone in the unit above us even though a car was parked in the driveway. We met the gentleman staying there as we shoveled the driveway together the next day. The next morning he got up about 5:30am to get ready for work and I was awakened by his walking in shoes on the floor above. The third night we stayed, a different group was upstairs and normal conversation could be heard all evening. They were not excessively loud, but definitely could be heard. It was distracting. We would definitely stay again but would rent the upstairs instead.

Relaxing, pleasant, convenient to everything
Lovely view of wooded area across the lightly traveled road. Simple to get to downtown Duluth and easy access to highways north and south. We even saw roses in October at Leif Erickson Park and the great fall colors at Hawk Ridge without any long drives.

Everything was very comfortable, slept well!! Taught a virtual mozzarella class and upload was good for that. Had everything we needed to help up teach the two cheese events at Vikre.

Location of property was perfect for all Duluth Activities. Neighborhood neighborhood very quiet. Plenty of space and comfort spaces. The sound quality to the upstairs unit was an issue when the 5 fishermen got up at 4:00 AM to get ready to leave. Otherwise excellent location and I will stay again.

Clean. Spacious. Cozy. Love the large windows. It was just my husband and I and we had plenty of space. I would say it's a perfect place for two. We did have neighbors upstairs but their walking around didn't bother us. The only thing we would request is ice cube trays. We just wanted a few cubes for our waters/drinks. Otherwise everything was wonderful. They even had Kleenexes. I realize that's a little thing but so very few places provide them. Thank you! Would stay here again!

It was a relaxing time for us at this location.
It was just the right amount of space for a couple. We would suggest a different table and chairs in the kitchen area. As an older couple they did not work the best. Otherwise the bed, bathroom and all the other items were fantastic.

Arrived to a filthy stove. Spent over an hour trying to clean off the broiling pan so we could cook our steaks. Owner said cleaning was on a schedule (which we apparently missed, wasn't communicated). Wrecked the only sponge with the greasy grime, so asked for a new one to use during our stay. Owner promised to have cleaning staff deliver by noon the next day. They came into the kitchen WITHOUT even knocking or anything, where my wife was cooking bacon in her nightshirt! Wow! We are normally pretty easy going but my wife didn't sleep well for 2 nights, barricaded the doors with pans and chairs, etc. We had no confidence in their stated Covid cleaning protocols. Seriously doubt the sheets were even changed. Bring your own wipes, clorox, and sponges!

Quiet getaway
This place was perfect. It was a few minutes drive from Duluth proper yet being remote enough for privacy. There appears to be an upstairs unit that was also a rental. It was a cool day when we arrive, but after a few minute with the electric fireplace on the place was rather cozy and comfortable. Our kid loved the futon and slept great on it for the two nights that we were there. The master bed room is huge as well as the closet and bathroom. The stove was a smaller model so I hope no one is planning on doing any major cooking while staying there. For our purposes it was more than enough for the food we brought. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks for the stay.

Perfect getaway near Duluth
This was an ideal inexpensive 3 day 2 night getaway. Good location- Great place. Clean- neat- ample space. My only issue was a high top table and stools. I have mobility issues. Otherwise A++. Great communication with owner.

Excellent host and property was perfect - Exactly as presented online. Very nicely appointed and all in perfect condition. Comfortable furniture and Bed as well as a huge shower. Nice quiet area, Private parking in driveway and very accommodating host, Kelly was very responsive, professional , and made us feel confident that she genuinely cares about your experience. I hope we can visit again next fall. Every Vacation rental property experience should be like this !

This was a wonderful location, a quiet wooded area with easy access to where we wanted to go. The apartment was very nice but we did hear walking and showering above us. My sister and I had some problems keeping the mattress on the futon just sitting on it for watching TV. I would stay here again with my husband!

The seating in the living room could be a little more comfortable for watching TV in the evening. Maybe the chair from the bedroom in there? Everything else was great! An easy drive into Duluth. Everything was neat & clean & the bathroom being just off the bedroom was very nice. The place was roomy sucluded & quiet! I recommend this place.

Great quiet location a short distance from the heart of Duluth. We enjoyed the spacious lower level where we cooked and relaxed. Like others have mentioned, only down side is hearing the upper unit guests walking around. Property owner was very fast to respond to messages, would highly recommend this location!

Nothing fancy, but the unit was clean and well maintained. Lack of sound proofing from renters upstairs was a little annoying when they were up at 6 am and you could hear every footstep.

The two issues we ran into were spotty internet (ISP problem, not the owner) and if your the tenant on the lower level, there is noise from the upper level when occupied. The place itself is great - Way more spacious than we anticipated. A full kitchen meant we could cook our own meals when we weren't out and about. Huge bathroom, large bed...My family of four were spread out all over. The property is secluded and the surrounding area is very quiet. It's only a short drive to the city, and local attractions. I would recommend this place to anyone. The owners are great to deal with.

An ideal location for a private location, but close to anywhere you want to go. Everything was as advertised or better. A perfect setting for a family of four. No need to go anywhere else for our next stay in the Duluth area.

Quick Duluth Getaway
Awesome price for this place! So much better than a hotel. I stayed with myself and two kids and we had more than enough space. It’s liking staying in a hotel suite without the prices and ask the other people. You could hear people walking around upstairs, but otherwise it was quiet.

We used this comfortable apartment as our launching point for birding at the Saz-Zim bog. In non-COVID, times it would also be for it's great access to all Duluth has to offer. Very spacious for a group of two and also fine for our group of four adults. WIll gladly stay here again next time we are in the area if it is available.

Exactly what we were looking for. Close to everything, but private.
It was exactly what we expected. Very cute and cozy. Had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. True to the description in the listing. Very private, but could be at the mall in less than 10 minutes. Owner was very prompt to respond with questions leading up to our stay. Only minor critique is that having people in the upstairs of the property made for unwelcome noise sometimes. Not that they were noisy. Just the simple act of them walking through the house was very noisy downstairs. But, that is a minor thing for me. We loved it very much and would return without question. Thank you Kelly and Brian.
