Golden Jubilee Hotel

"Very clean, quiet definitely surprised by how quiet it was since it was connected to a hospital. The clerks at reception very friendly and helpful. The staff at breakfast and dinner were very polite and accommodating."

"Clean nice restaurant"
Cameron House on Loch Lomond
10/10 Excellent
"The room was fabulous with a big comfortable bed. All the staff we met were friendly and very helpful. We were travelling with our dog so couldn’t eat breakfast in the main restaurant but we ate in the tavern instead which was lovely and quiet. We could pick from their menu or order anything from the main restaurant including the buffet too. In the evenings we ate in La Vista and again took our dog, the first was great and again we were well looked after. My only negative would be the cost of bringing our dog at £50 per night which is very high compared to other hotels on our trip and the very long dog policy we needed to sign on arrival which we’ve never come across before. As responsible dog owners we always clean up after our dog and would expect to pay extra in the unlikely event of damage."
Seamill Hydro Hotel & Resort
8/10 Good
"Would have liked a sea view room."
Lipton House
10/10 Excellent
"The host and his daughter were very kind and helpful. We were there to see the Highland Games and they provided information regarding parking, getting there, etc. It is a very beautiful old house built by the Lipton tea guy."
Waterfront Cottage with own Beach and Stunning Views Across The Clyde
8/10 Good
"Lovely cottage with absolutely amazing views. The host’s communication was excellent and check-in was really easy. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. We really appreciated all the little extras provided, such as dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, toilet rolls, oil, salt and more — definitely more than we expected. The cottage could benefit from a little painting and touching up in places, and a more noticeable sign would make it easier to find on arrival. It was a little remote for us and there weren’t many traditional dog-friendly pubs nearby, but if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful to completely switch off and relax, it’s a fantastic place for a stress-free break. We had a lovely stay."
