Beautiful

We had a wonderful time there. The location was perfect for Ouray, Silverton, Durango, and Mesa Verde. The house was a great size for the 8 of us. The views from the house made it hard to go anywhere else. We will miss the stunning mountain vistas!

Perfect for what we wanted and needed!

Had a big crew of three families. This place was a great space for all of us. Lots of room in the living room for everyone. Well stashed kitchen. The best part was the sleddin hill in front of the house and provided sleds. And the hot tub after a long day of skiing. Can’t recommend this place enough! Snow in Purg was awful but we made it work!

Beautiful Location!

What a wonderful recent stay at this property. The home is updated and located directly beside the Hermosa Trail system. We could access trail from behind property and hiked to Castle Rock! Highly recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this home for the last four years and will continue to do so. With a bathroom for every bedroom, all the kids get their own with plenty of hot water for all of them. We travel as a big group and are not crowded in the least bit.The views are amazing, the distance to Durango and Silverton is minimal, and there is a great honey place down the road in Honeyville.Biggest complaint we have is the coffee cups, but the corner store sells some great ones. Which gives us an excuse to get a coffee cup for a souvenir every year!

Gorgeous home for large family

I stayed here with my siblings families and there was plenty of room for all three families. Master bedroom was beautiful but every room had its own bathroom, even the downstairs kids area. There is a nice hiking trail right behind the house. Kitchen was enormous and we were able to cook up huge meals each night. We had an amazing 4th of July.

Perfect location, generous space

We had some issues with the property which the property manager attempted to fix. Kitchen appliances need some maintenance. Window coverings also need maintenance. All in all, we had a great time and we would rent again. The WiFi worked super and the televisions were all in great shape. The hot tub was a welcome stop after our Jeep tour from Silverton.

Amazing Setting!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful home but the home had alot of burned out light bulbs. So many areas we could not see at night. I called the property management and they were going to send someone out and no one showed. The pantry had no lights and I had to use my phone for light to look for pots and pans. Many of outdoor lights in the front on the side of the hot tub were burned out as well.

Awesome vacation rental near Durango, large beautiful house.

Reviewer Comments: Our family of 10 people stayed in this incredible property for a week. We highly recommend it. The house is beautiful inside and outside. Kitchen is fully stocked and even some shareable goodies in the pantry. We ate all our meals at the house because the kitchen was so specious and the dining room fit our family so comfortably. Instant hot water at every faucet! Plenty of towels and bath essentials. The Hot Tub was great for the cool evening after a day of hiking and star gazing was superior. Fun things to do in Durango, just 30 minutes away and the Silverton Train was a favorite. This grandma got 5 stars for renting this house and the kids and grandkids left with wonderful memories of spending time together.

Fantastic Cabin!

We were a party of 12--4 adults, 8 kids. It was fantastic. It is a good 20-25 minutes north of Durango on the way to Purgatory. It snowed on two of the days we were there and a snow blower came by and cleared the roads both mornings before 9 am. The home has lots of space around it and feels very private. The wood-burning fire place was awesome. Hot tub in the snow was fantastic. Overall, very well stocked with nice toiletries, kitchen items, and spices. Lots of very large big screen TVs throughout the house. One note: There are two twin beds in the left area above the master. They share the same overall space. Two minor things: 1) There were no Kleenexes or cookie sheets; and 2) Some curtains/blinds in the main room and master were broken and would not lift up, blocking a gorgeous view of the valley. Despite the minor issues above, we loved it and would absolutely stay again.

Great Location

We had a group of 10 adults staying together in the house. There was plenty of space for all of us. The location is great for hiking and heading to different towns in the area. We were 30 min from Durango and about 30-40 min from Silverton. We caught the Aspens changing this fall about perfectly. Everything was beautiful. The hot tub on the patio was fantastic after a day of hiking. The house is also very close to Durango Hot Springs that many of us took advantage of while we were there. The cons, the downstairs game room/extra beds had kind of a funky smell. Not sure if it was a dog smell or maybe just musty. The pillows were not great. We searched around the house and they were all pretty much the same. We tried to double up where possible but even that wasn't all that helpful. The kitchen is a bit outdated, minus the monster stove/oven. However there was an extra refrigerator in the garage that was helpful with the amount of people we had staying in the house. We had plenty of pots/pans/spices/bowls/etc. to do a lot of cooking in the house. That was greatly appreciated. Other than that, we had great communication with the host(s). Check in and out was very easy. We had hail one day and it was nice to be able to access the garage.

Purgatory is a short 5-10 minute drive, and the Needles are clearly visible. One amazing feature not listed in the description- the Castle Rock trail is directly behind the house, with gate access in the fence. Huge bonus for us- it's a great hike! The kitchen was fairly well appointed (minus a crock pot that we were told was there and the absence of baking sheets), the bedrooms were comfortable, and the living room was excellent for our two-family thanksgiving.Negatives for us- FLIES. There was an appalling number of flies in the main bedroom, the tub was literally coated in dead flies by the time we left. Every window seat in the house had dead flies littering the window sill. There were also mouse traps in the closets and under the sinks- I'm SO GLAD none of them caught something during our stay because I would have lost it. We had maintenance workers show up without notice, which was disturbing (particularly during COVID). It also made us nervous thinking about how many people had the passcode. Several of the power shades didn't work, the assist lift was broken on the hot tub, the dishwasher soap cup was broken, the faucet was loose in the main bathroom, the ping pong table had no net... small annoyances that added up to making the property feel like it wasn't well maintained. We would really have appreciated a house binder with instructions on things like the blinds, the fireplaces, the hot tub, (the gate to the hiking trail!), the *correct* wifi password, etc. The two-page PDF felt like a good introduction, but I had no idea that would be the only information given. Overall, it was a beautiful house and we are glad we chose it for our stay!

The house was beautiful like the ad! We had multiple problems with all appliances in this home! It was not resolved after talking with the management company, they sent a repairman out and that did not cover it either. The management company is not appropriately aware of how the appliances work in the home. When we complained about gas coming from the dryer, they told me that was not possible because it was electric! Come to find out it is gas, had to unplug the dryer and pull it from the wall to keep gas from coming out. Which meant we had one dryer in the home for 10 people. When we enter the home to begin our stay, the buzzer was going off on the gas range we tried to reset multiple times. But to no avail, contacted the Premier management, they said they would send somebody out to fix it we had to turn the breaker off to the range to keep it from not going off all night long. They sent someone the next day, all they did was flip the breaker on it took a few minutes it never came on for the repair man, but when we came home with another day it was going off, all he had done was turn the breaker back on. The double drawer refrigerator never did work. The gas range did not work along with a dryer. There were several lightbulbs and floodlights through the home not working. One light fixture in one bedroom had a broken light at the receptacle where we could not replace the bulb ourselves. The hot tub which we were there for seven days by the second day was reeking of odor and we had no chemicals to take care of it.
