Beautiful area

The area was beautiful. The views were great. The downside was the cleanliness of the house. The sheets has dog hair and stains, the coffee pot had old coffee in it.

Very nice cabin, good mountain views. Kitchen equipment good. Bed comfortable, bathrooms good. Wi-Fi was unreliable, down for about 20% of our one week stay leaving us with no TV during those periods. Host left only two trash bags for a one week stay. I can't leave trash inside for three or four days, it smells. Please put one trash bag per day. On two occasions.at night, we heard some mechanical equipment in attic running very loudly. Don't know what it was maybe a septic system pump but it lasted about an hour each time.

Spruce Mesa Cabin

This was the absolute best getaway destination. The house was wonderful, just as described and had everything we needed for the week. Plenty of room for our family of seven. With so many fun things to do in the area. Suggestions from our experience include ATV ride on alpine loop, narrow gauge railroad train ride and purgatory resort. The only suggestion that I would make is to correct the error with the dumpster lock number on the Vacasa communications. The code given was incorrect and has been an ongoing issue as a previous guest left a note at the front door with the correct code. Overall, a wonderful home that I would most definitely recommend to others.

Making the best of it!

We originally booked for my oldest nephews graduation. He grew very ill the night of graduation and was not able to make the trip he picked for his grad trip. Unfortunately it became too late to cancel so my mom, my husband, our dog and myself came anyway. And boy were we mistaken. What a beautiful house, what beautiful country!!! We made the best out of a trip that was supposed to be 7 down to 3. The house was gorgeous inside and out. Very cozy!!! Durango was cute. Mesa Verde is a must.

Purgatory Ski Vacation

The house is great, clean and spacious with a super roomy garage. Please be careful in winter to have 4WD and chains handy if needed as it's a ways off the hwy and relatively steep. Good proximity to Purgatory - about 5 miles. During our stay, we got several big snows with a 2 footer at the start - that's why the vehicle recommendation. Beautiful neighborhood with helpful and friendly neighbors should you need assistance. We would rent this place again.

Great spot close to Purgatory and 20 mins from Durango!

Lovely home with everything you need to cook and enjoy your stay. Wonderful hot tub and kitchen. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood not far from the highway. We had a lovely Thanksgiving here.

Beautiful Stay!

We had an amazing time in this cute little cabin! The views were amazing, the fireplace was perfect and the beds were clean and comfortable. We don’t normally use “public” hot tubs, but this one was extremely clean & hot with the perfect view. We loved all the extra kitchen amenities, but make sure to bring foil, olive oil(s), ziplock bags, etc… We could tell that everything provided inside the cabin was well thought out. We will be recommending this location to all of our family and friends.

Great Place!

Wonderful house in a great location north of Durango. Beautiful views of cliffs above the area. House is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need for a short or longer stay. Will definitely look to stay here again when we come back!

Beautiful!

My family of 6 and our small doggy stayed here for 1 week. It was a marvelous home in a secluded and quiet location away from the road. The neighbors were quiet, stars were amazing and it was a much needed vacation. However, there were some negative issues and concerns. The hot tub had a fine layer of sand along the bottom when we first got in. It made us slightly uncomfortable as it did not feel like it was clean. Furthermore, we were worried about the owners response as they said they would charge if they found sand/dirt in the hot tub indicating we didn’t rinse properly before entering. We contacted the owners through Vacasa in order to make them aware, but also to avoid a charge. We have yet to hear back. On the first night, we heard the garage open in the early hours of the morning. Again, I contacted Vacasa to see if the owner entered but did not hear back. We locked all the doors but it was incredibly uncomfortable knowing somebody could have entered the home while we were sleeping. There was an extra lock box on the outside of the home that we wanted to retrieve the keys to avoid anybody being able to enter the home while we were away (or sleeping), but the code provided did not work. We contacted the agency for this issue and never heard from them. The front guest bedroom ceiling fan and light did not work, but it did have a small lamp on a night stand that we used in addition to our phones to get ready for bed. Lastly, our first day we noticed a security camera hiding behind a curtain indoors that was faced towards the front of the property. We understand the rental agency wanting to know who’s coming and going, but this was never disclosed on Vacasa or VRBO and made us uncomfortable that it could possibly hear everything we were saying. The lack of communication/response from the company and property manager during our stay was our biggest issue. My AT&T cellphone reception was spotty in the area and emails were the only way I could communicate. However, the home was still beautiful with its wraparound porch to enjoy the fresh air and views was worth the trip.

Awesome cabin

This cabin was clean and comfortable. Yard was private. Hot tub was amazing. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. Everything was as described.

Reuniting with Loved Ones
