We had a great time here, the property was roomy and very comfortable. We loved that there was plenty of room for the family to get together and eat at the same table and eat and there were multiple TV’s so everyone could find something they like for entertainment.

A family reunion at Riverbend

Ranging from age 4 to 86, we loved our week at Riverbebd. The layout of the house was perfect for a crowd. We enjoyed being able to eat together at the long tables inside or out. The outside space was gorgeous and just right for baseball with the young kids, and the general location was central to most of the activities we wanted to explore. We can’t wait to come back!

Mountain Retreat

The home and property were beautiful. The grounds were maintained and so peaceful. Tree's, lawn, creeks and a river surround the home. There was a great variety of games, indoors and out which we took full advantage of and enjoyed. The home was spacious, beds were comfortable. I would gladly recommend this home, and wouldn't hesitate to come back for another reunion here.

Great place to stay for a family ski trip.

This is a beautiful, large 5 bedroom house that held our family of 12 comfortably for a ski trip to Purgatory. It is located between the town of Durango and the Purgatory Ski Resort. One of our family members is a paraplegic, so having a main level bedroom and bathroom is one of the things we look for first. The living room and kitchen layout worked well for us and the dining room table for 12 was excellent! Several people used the hot tub and said it was good. We would stay here again for future large family trips.

Stepping Into Home

Our family (4 generations) was in Durango for Soaring Tree Top zip lines. This house felt like home when you walked in the door. Plenty of room and the amenities to create a wonderful breakfast, afternoon happy hour, and evening around the fire-pit , enjoying the hot tubs, or playing the abundant games.. Every feature was quality including bedside mints on check in. The showers are Amazing. The stream, creek, ditch, whatever gurgles by and puts you to sleep like a lullaby. Every element was ABOVE my expectations from appliances to bath mat. If you are spending a week or a weekend; it is almost hard to leave the property. Thank you!!.

75th birthday party

Property was gorgeous. House was unbelievable. Beds wete very comfortable. Instuctions on TV, grill, hot tub would have nice for us older people. 30 somethings were able to handle it better. Two complaints, hot tub smelled, was scummy and kept flipping the breakers. We think that the firepit was out of propane. It would light but not stay on. Sounds nit picky but they both helped make the decision on where to stay so it was disappointing.

Beautiful property on lots of land, perfect for our family reunion for Thanksgiving week. We had 2 grandparents with our 3 children, their spouses and 10 grandchildren. Ages 2 through 75. Comfortable bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, huge living room, gorgeous property for the kids to throw and kick balls, walk along the creek, collect rocks and fish. Ping pong in the garage with an extra refrigerator, washer and dryer. Nice laundry room, hot tub on the top deck. Our only suggestions are to bring your own toilet paper and paper towels and if you have young children bring plastic plates, cups, bowls and utensils. Everything is glass.

The house and surrounding land were stunning — the water streams, ponds, and river created such a peaceful and happy atmosphere. It was the ideal setting to relax, reflect, and celebrate with loved ones.If there’s anything that could make this wonderful stay even better, it would be to include a Keurig coffee maker, provide some wood for the fire pit, and make sure the propane tanks for the outdoor fire stand and grill are full upon arrival.Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and serene place to spend this special milestone. This home and property were perfect for our entire family celebrating a grandparent’s milestone birthday. As outdoor enthusiasts, we greatly appreciated dinners at one continuous table on the deck, the garage and bike space, and especially coming home to the yard and Hermosa creek each day. From the time we drove the driveway coming into the property, to seeing the inside spaces and discovering so many well thought out and appreciated touches (pack and play, crib in master closet, indoor and outdoor games, kitchen furnishings, two refrigerators, laundry, etc.), and loving the backyard privacy and creek access, we could focus on family fun.
