Perfect mountain getaway

The cabin was everything we wanted, seclusion, views, space for us and our dog to roam, and proximity to the amazing trails in the San Juans. We also met multiple neighbors who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will absolutely be staying at this property again in the future.

Isolated Paradise

Loved the fact that we had no neighbors! So peaceful and quiet. Instructions from owners were very concise and easy to follow. This place was perfect for our family!

People and dog heaven

We chose this property because of its proximity to Silverton and many of the surrounding 4x4 trails. With 3 dogs in tow this made for a perfect home base. The property is large and well behaved dogs are free to roam.

Great secluded cabin

Perfect cabin for our family getaway. Close enough to Durango for dinners or the hot springs. But close to Silverton and Ouray for hikes and excursions. Love how secluded and private the location is. Simple and rustic enough to feel like you are in the woods and away from it but good wifi and able to check on the Olympics when we got back from hiking. Will definitely be back!

The house was perfect for our family. The views were great and Sean was most helpful with anything we needed. Sitting on the front porch in the mornings and afternoons was our favorite. Highly recommend this cabin and area. Such a wonderful vacation!!

San Juan Mountains Escape

This was the perfect secluded cabin for relaxing after a great day of hiking. The 3 bedrooms with their own bathrooms came in handy. Sean is a great host, responsive and communicative. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience!

The property and cabin are just as described. Our family of four had a great stay and would highly recommend the property. This is an awesome, private location perfect for exploring SW CO. We spent time in Durango, Mesa Verde, Ouray, and Telluride and were always happy to return to the solitude this cabin provides. The views from the cabin are fantastic and we had a wonderful stay. We highly recommend this property!

Beautiful relaxing stay

Me and my family had a wonderful time over Christmas break staying at Sean’s cabin. Sean gave us great directions to the cabin. We had no problems finding or getting in the cabin. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable! The views were gorgeous all around the cabin. It had snowed the day prior to our arrival. We definitely needed 4 wheel drive to get down the road that leads to the cabin. We enjoyed sitting around the fire at night and playing games at the kitchen table. My family went to the slopes at Purgatory daily. Durango is a short drive away with many excellent restaurants.

Perfect Spring Break

Less than 10 minutes to Purgatory Ski Resort, but away from the crowds in a winter wonderland! Gorgeous property with beautiful views. The cabin was perfect for our family of 3 adults and 3 teens. Every room has its own spacious bathroom (the rooms felt bigger than they look in the pictures!) Sean was very quick to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend and would love to come back in the summer!

Amazing!

The property is nestled in a secluded location within in minutes of Purgatory. Easy access, great mountain hikes around the property and the view and quietness was absolutely what we all needed! House was clean, spacious and each room has its own bathroom which everyone loved! The owner was communicative and assisted us when I called with a minor inconvenience. You will love the gorgeous mountains and if you are looking for seclusion this is it!

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful home in the mountains

We loved our stay. The home is absolutely beautiful and so spacious. It is stocked with everything you can possibly need. The front porch was perfect for grilling and playing board games. There is also a fire pit with a great views of the mountains. We loved having a bathroom for each room and large, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The hosts were accommodating, left clear instructions, and were there if we needed them. The house itself is tucked away, offering some privacy and peacefulness. Yet still close to hikes, local towns of silverton and Durango, and other things to do.

Back Country Cabin

The cabin was exactually as advertised. It was located well off the highway on a dirt road which had some steep hills with ice. A fwd was required to get to the cabin. The cabin was fully equipped with everything we required. It was spotlessly clean. There was a small problem with the heater which Sean took care of immediately. We had five deer in the yard. We were far enough in the back country that we did not hear any other people during our stay. Recommend highly.

Views Galore

This year, my partner and I traveled with three of our grandchildren. We needed at least two bathrooms and three bedrooms. This house hit the mark. Each bedroom had an attached full bathroom, which gave everyone room and time to prepare for the day out in the beautiful San Juan mountains. It was very quiet and had all the conveniences we needed for our lodging. The views of the mountains from our cabin's wrap around porch were breathtaking. I would highly recommend this home if you are a looking for beautiful views, mountain living and hiking areas at your fingertips. This cabin is the place for you!!

New Years at the cabin

My family of 6 stayed at the cabin over the New Year week & had a wonderful time. The cabin is just as described with lots of pantry space & all the kitchen items needed to cook meals. The beds were comfortable. The en-suite baths for each bedroom was a major plus as was having a main floor bedroom. Sean was extremely helpful when we ran into a major car mechanical issue & his help was very much appreciated. 4wd or chains really are a must during the snowy months. The personal sled hill was a big hit with the kiddos (& the pup!) We’d gladly stay again.

Christmas at the Cabin

We decided to spend Christmas snowboarding at Purgatory and Seans cabin was the perfect place to stay. There were 5 of us and our Corgi staying in this beautiful cabin on Seans amazing property. The Cabin was clean, comfortable, warm, and accommodating. We loved the fireplace, the big windows displaying the gorgeous views, each room has its own full bathroom and the living area and kitchen was a perfect gathering spot. Sean gave us great directions to get to the location and kept us informed on the weather. We were close to Purgatory but the cabin was nice and secluded. We had the best Christmas and would do it again and again. Sean is a great host and made our stay easy and comfortable.

Everything was absolutely perfect and all expectations (which were set pretty high) met. The excellent covered porch, quiet solitude to enjoy nature, loads of firewood ready to use, walking trails and outstanding/thorough access and instructions made this the perfect vacation stay.
