Gore Lake is one of the best hiking and camping trips I've ever experienced! The Gore Creek trail starts at a trail head in East Vail, and climbs 3,400 vertical feet over 6 miles. By no means an easy hike, but worth every step. Vibrant wildflowers pave the way along Gore Creek, through Aspen groves and ultimately to the lake at the top. Amazing campsites are everywhere, no permits needed!
