「This is a lovely little Inn right next to the river. They serve a nice breakfast and I really enjoyed the cozy sitting area in the lobby with a fire. It Was very peaceful UNTIL my last night when the Fire Alarm went off 3 Times !! 7pm, 9:30pm & 11:40pm..... there was no fire. It was a surprise to the staff as well as the guests and went on for a very long time. I spoke to the front guest on check out about some kind of compensation for this Major disruption. I was told my number would be given...

「Frequently stay in the Fairplay area for work and the Hand hotel has been by far the most enjoyable place to stay. The other option (Riverside Inn) has always been extremely noisy and the staff don't seem to care much about customer concerns. The Hand hotel staff were excellent and it was convenient having the cafe down-stairs... just be aware it isn't open every morning, but there are other options close by. It is a historic building so keep that in mind when booking.」

「Parking with a truck and snowmobile trailer was horrible. I called the hotel in advance before booking and asked about parking. I was told they have bus and truck.trailer parking on site. This was NOT true! The lot is small and there were 10 abandoned cars also taking up spots making matters worse. If the person would have tols the truth I would never have stayed here! 「We wanted a place between Keystone and Breckenridge for our last ski trip of the season. This is our second time staying here, and the location is perfect to access both slopes if you have a car (they have a shuttle to Breckenridge). Our young children stayed entertained in the splash pad, comfortably heated pool, water slide, and hot tubs after skiing (with an amazing view of the mountains) and the room was comfortable for everything we needed to make breakfast, cook dinner, and enjoy family...
