As we were staying with our dog we were very pleased with the location. It was a very quiet wooded area which we loved but yet only 5 minutes to town. We had a wonderful dinner at the lodge. As an added bonus was Dollar Lake, which is not the lake you see next to the lodge. It was a short jaunt across from the main lodge where we enjoyed walking our dog. It is private and only available to those staying at Chanticleer Inn. The beach was sandy and the water was clear. A neat little gem. We would definitely stay there again.

It was a great place to stay! We were able to keep our boat at the dock there which was perfect. We had a small issue with cleanliness in the room which was taken care of quickly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Recommend staying here!

Thank you so much for the delightful stay at Chanticleer. It is enjoyable and restful and worth revisiting again and again. One suggestion...improve the pavement in the parking lot and/or add more lighting. If you want to appeal to dog walkers, it would e helpful to have a more level surface to walk on. Thank you.

Great location. Saw lots of wildlife (deer, eagles, etc.). Nice that folks could bring their dogs but the barking is annoying to some of us (we are cat people, though). One thng to note: the resturant hours are somewhat limitted - go early to it if you want food and the place at the end of the road closes its kitchen 15 minutes before they post the kitchen closes. We arrived after 8 for check in and had to eat what we brought for breakfast for dinner as we didn't want to head back to town. Overall, a good property.
