「This is the third time we have stayed at the black bear lodge in Stratton and every time we stay our experience is the same.. excellent. The staff are all so nice and accommodating, the property is clean and the breakfast is perfect. The rooms are comfortable and clean, it really is the perfect place to stay in Vermont. See you in October. 」

「This was such a great find! First time staying at a ski resort and it was perfect! Really enjoyed the ski in / ski out. We had beautiful views from our room complete with balcony overlooking the slopes! Loved the heated outdoor pool and hot tubs. Fire pits outside were also nice to have. Very cozy atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the hotel.」

「Very old property but nicely renovated. A bit too pricey for the accommodation. The included breakfast was good. I was forced to book late because my booking in Chester cancelled and left me with little time or choice. I was told it was due to renovations not complete. Not ideal. I do not think reservations should be accepted if the property is not ready for occupancy.」

「I will start with the negatives and close with the positives. I wasn't convinced the towels were clean and there was literally only one each for us, seemed there was no attention to detail with cleaning (lots of hair and dust in corners in bathroom, 1/2 used sugar packet in the selection at the coffeemaker, bed skirt dragging on the floor, etc.), breakfast was lame, but I get it, because it's covid. For the positives, location was AWESOME, the room was super spacious with updated climate...

「The unit was perfect for our ski race weekend. Very accessible, underground parking included (ski boxes on top of SUVs will not fit - thankfully we left ours at home), really nice place with everything we needed!」

「We loved our stay at the chalet. It's perfectly situated in the cutest little neighborhood, while also feeling very secluded. The chalet had everything we needed for our stay. While visiting we walked a few of the trails nearby, part of the Valley Trail and the Hoot, Toot and Whistle. They were both perfect for our pups, especially during hunting season. We gave our pups an extra squeeze in honor of Scarlet. Thank you for sharing your place with us! We would love to stay again!!」

「We had a great stay at this cabin and the property. It's everything the write up says and then some. The owner is a true craftsman with an eye for creativity and for bringing the outside in. I wish I had taken a photo of my review that I left him handwritten in his leather bound book to share with you here. He has thought of everything to provide a peaceful, calm and tranquil getaway.
