For the most part we had an enjoyable stay. Our favorite part was being able to sit on the balcony and watch the river. There were some minor things that we did not like.
This was the perfect place for a relaxing few days. Everything was clean. The home was right on the river and the owner was communicative. Except in the bathroom, there isn't a lot of privacy but that worked fine for us. I would definitely go back and I recommend this place.
Very nice place. Completly open concept with the wall facing the river being 100% windows allowing a great view from everywhere in the house. We fished from the dock and enjoyed watching the boats and barges on the river. Very easy to get to I-80 and I-74 to cross into Iowa. We enjoyed exploring the towns on both sides of the river.
Great price and location. Need more silverware. No window coverings so be prepared to wake up early to sunlight☀️Killed 3 spiders during 2 days there, may need some pest control.
The property is located on a cute little island. A boat launch is about a mile away. There's a decent amount of stairs so pack light. The house itself feels like home very quickly. Open floor plan and no doors except the bathroom. Bathroom is a good size, no tub but a stand up shower. Large wardrobe right off the bathroom for storage. It is very bright and the back patio is completely enclosed so it's perfect if you have children. Above the bed ceiling fans which is great for my family. A grill located under the patio (we didn't use but there is one there). The dock is nice to keep your boat at or jump off to go for a swim. The beach is a little rocky so bring water shoes if you have children. We had a fun time even with all the rain we've been getting.

Pros: view & super clean
Cons: everything else! We will not be coming back to this property.
Heating was locked so we froze the entire weekend and it was so incredibly loud everytime the furnace kicked on. Sleep was horrible. I was so ready to leave!
No where to hang clothes. No closet. I hung my dresses from the curtain rod.
Cooking was challenging. Kitchen is not well stocked with appliances and utensils for meal prep.
The deck has holes in the floor that they covered with duck tape.
Furniture was not comfortable. Kind of looked and felt like everything was bought at a garage sale. Which is fine, but then don’t rent out your property to guests and charge them a fee to sit on cheap, uncomfortable furniture.
The ambience inside of this home was terrible. The view is the only thing that saved the weekend!
Beautiful view of the Mississippi. Clean and obviously well cared for. Snowy and cold during our stay. Lots of hiking trails and Bald Eagle viewing. We could just sit in front of those big windows and watch the eagles all day.
We often book on the river based on the view, and this was just as good as advertised. Right on the water and plenty of barges to watch, so my husband was very happy. House was clean and comfortable - had everything we needed except some hot mitts, but we improvised. Also near really nice hiking trails and, of course, the lock and dam up river. Thanks for a restful couple of days -
