“This was a beautiful property and the hosts were excellent. I highly recommend staying here if you are down in this part of Devon.”

“A nice hotel set in 7 acres of garden with access directly onto the sea front. All staff were very friendly and helpful although at busy times at breakfast time they could do with more people to help out. The pool was a great asset in the hot weather and fans in the bedroom helped with the heat and was a nice touch. The only minor complaint I might have is the traffic noise from the busy road just behind the hotel. I had a bedroom facing this road ( the back of the hotel) and the traffic started……

“Can’t fault anything Lynn and Steve were perfect hosts very friendly, breakfast was great. Everything was spotless, great place to stay Very close to beach and restaurants and bus routes”

“We didn’t stay! The building was very rundown and communal areas were dirty and it had furniture stacked about the place and nothing like the pictures. The communal toilets were filthy. After walking down various corridors and through doors to access my room the pin code wouldn’t work. I went to find our friends and there was a used syringe on the stairs. Thats when I felt i couldn’t stay. I felt quite uncomfortable in the surroundings. The other room was tatty, dirty and the carpet had stains……

“Jo the care taker is very nice and friendly to give whatever help and advice needed for a visitor new to the place. The room is clean and in fact the whole building seems to have just been renovated.”

The garden is beautiful, and the two gentlemen running it were so lovely! Did I mention the delicious breakfast! This hotel is top class, and we can't wait to come back again! “Lovely building and really helpful owners / staff . Was really clean and tidy and the breakfast was very good . Only a couple of minor things really , the shower head kept dipping down so was a bit of pain when you were shampooing etc . Bit noisy at night time but obviously the very nice owners can’t help that .”
