The Country Inn of Berkeley Springs

"The room was clean and large. The bed had a beautiful headboard. The mattress was on the hard side. Three large pillows and nice cover. The rest of the decor throughout the property is dated. The reception area is decorated in antiques. The restaurant served mediocre food. The staff at front desk were wonderful! Helpful and knowledgeable about what’s happening in Berkeley Springs. And they were accommodating. Best food in the whole town we found at Creekside Cafe! The Vine is overpriced and the quality of the food is lacking. Fairfax Coffee is good. And the Apothecary is lovely. The baths are amazing!"

"Its a wonderful place to stay. The people are friendly. The staff was great. The road is a little rough to get to the property. All in all I would give it 4.5 stars. Very quiet love the little cottages. If you are looking for a quiet little place to get away. And relax. You should give it a try."

"Convenient location, reasonably priced. Rooms were clean, updated. Magnifying mirror near sink did not work. I would have liked to have left bathroom light on and crack door to use bathroom in middle of night. However, it was fan/light combo only. Too noisy, so pack a night light to see your way around as table lights would have been too bright. Also, no shelf in shower to place shampoo, conditioner etc. Continental bfast was okay, but some protein would have been nice, eg hard-boiled eggs, yogurt etc. Some fresh fruit such as bananas, apples or oranges would also be great additions. Liked cereal, oatmeal, bagels, milk and juice, coffee and packaged pastries."

"Overall, really nice stay. My only complaint is that when I tried to check in, they said they couldn’t do anything until 3 PM. I found that really bizarre because most hotels would, at minimum, take my information and offer to stow my bags—other than that, the staff was very friendly and helpful."

"TV hard to figure out how to use for a senior citizen. The room had a smell not very pleasing. It wasn't offensive nor nauseating."

"Hotel has been updated recently. Our room air conditioner started leaking in the night. Staff quickly transferred us first thing in the morning to another room. The water was also turned off in town for 4 hours during the night. Not fault of the hotel, and luckily didn’t affect us much since it was between 10pm-2am. Disadvantage was not elevator to get to our second floor room with multiple bags/suitcases. No pool at this location. Breakfast was delicious!"
