"I appreciated the very clean room and pristine facilities. They also have guest laundry, not too expensive, but be aware of location on far side of building so you may need to walk outside in pouring rain to use it. I got lost in that weather trying to find my way back to the room in the dark. But a different staff person assisted me next time, let me cut through the inside of the building.
The first staff could have made sure I got back to my room safely on that stormy dark night. The weather is a mixture so be prepared! I stayed for a few days and two days were sunny and nice.
The breakfast, included in my room rate, was the best I have had anywhere, so good, with many homemade choices! The breakfast was the main reason I chose this resort for my second visit to this area, plus the beautiful location and nearby access to hiking and birdwatching and spectacular views. No puffins at this time of year but saw a few other cool birds such as Rock ptarmigan that I met on a hike :)
I had one of the basic private rooms that was good value in such a remote location as it comes with an ocean front view!
The kitchen staff were super nice and accommodating. The spa pool staff I met initially, could have given clearer information about the rates: you are charged the full rate the first time you use the spa. The discount is if you use the spa again during your stay. Another staff at the spa explained that clearly and was very friendly with my tourist questions."
