We rented one of the rooms with a private bathroom and it was lovely. This room came with an entry pass to see the Vestrahorn and area. Breakfast was included and was plentiful and good. Very clean and comfortable rooms.

Staff is very helpful and friendly, one of them is even practicing mandarin which made our party feel welcomed. He helped us load our luggage back into the car after realizing we have to drive a short distance to the actual lodging (not at the main building). The room worked for three people and heater warmed the place well. Free tickets to the grounds - the beach was beautiful to take pictures at in nice weather. We got lucky. Viking Village is an old film set that I enjoyed walking through. Standard Icelandic breakfast buffet. We were happy with our stay!

Emplacement magnifique, on se sent au bout du monde! On a pu visiter le site. Il était possible de redemander un pass pour le lendemain si nous le souhaitions. La chambre est simple mais fonctionnelle. Le petit déjeuner est bon. On a pu arriver juste avant 19h pour acheter les derniers sandwich car ils ferment ensuite. On recommande le lieu.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were basic but clean and very comfortable. A simple breakfast was also included. There is a cafe on site selling soup and panini’s but it closes at 5pm so wee went into nearby Hofn for dinner both days which was only 15 mins in the car. It’s a superb location for enjoying the beach and mountains.

Location is good, it’s as close as you can get to the mirror beach. The rooms are new and very clean. It was warm even in the winter. You can hear neighbour rooms very well so bring earplugs. We checked in late (9pm) but it was not a problem. Very basic breakfast but it was sufficient. The cafe is a cafe, don’t expect to get food there, only cakes and coffee.

Ok. Just left there. My expectations were much higher than I experienced starting with the pictures. What you see is the Viking Village, THAT IS NOT THE SLEEPING ROOMS, not even close.. I stayed in cabin 16, and it was much like a construction trailer, in and out. Inside furnishings were a mix of yard sale sofa and chairs and low end IKEA tables and lamps. Poorly insulated for sound as the group in the next room chatter came right through the walls. The pictures of the rooms on expedia may be the rooms closer to the lobby that look to be remodeled, ours was not, very utilitarian and dated. For the $300+ a night USD, I would stay elsewhere. Breakfast was weak, waffles had to be paid for as they were not a part of the small buffet, there was nothing warm to eat, other than toast if you made it yourself.
