Everything you need and more! The house is very clean, has beach towels all the kitchen items you need, we used the grill for cooking. The canoe and kayak were an extra bonus.
We could not have been happier with the location and accommodations. The house itself was spotless and had all the amenities we could have wanted. The dock and small beach provided my little ones the perfect and safe spot to enjoy endless hours of fun on the lake. The neighbors were extremely kind and welcoming as well!
We had a wedding to attend just down the road. We decided to make it a mini vacation and this place did not disappoint. Relaxing evening by a fire, paddling around seeing the sights and soaking in the sun during the day. Only wish a complete listing of amenities was provided instead of minimal bullet points.
We loved this property! Clean, beautiful lakefront, great outside areas, great views. It was exactly what we were looking for to experience Maine Camp life! If we ever get back to Maine we would want to stay here again.
Perfect location and amenities for grandparents and two tween boys. The sunrise is beautiful, fishing and kayaking is a safe place for two boys learning to become independent. Great place for grandparents to enjoy coffee by a morning fire. Everything we needed was available. Ideal for all ages.
The setting was perfect as we had a place like it in Lincoln in years past. The kitchen had everything including some spices that made meal prep easy and grilling/eating on the deck made for a great summer night. Swimming, the float, kayaking, canoeing in the pond was great for cooling off and hanging out on the warmer days. Corn hole, inside games and puzzles gave us things to do as a family. A bonus was being able to watch the Celtics take the WIN! Thank you for letting us remember times from the past while making memories! The Oliver's

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
The house has a cozy cabin feel. Towels (bath and beach!), life vests, canoes, trash bags and other basic kitchen supplies were there! Everything was clean and comfortable. The dock wasn’t out but it was still early in the season. Nice small beach (would still recommend water shoes) and fun fishing! Quiet pond with lots of wildlife. Dollar General in one direction if you need anything, and a gas station/pizza/ice cream pls e in the other direction for all other supplies. Only 45 minutes from Acadia National Park!
Really enjoyed our short vacation here. The home was immaculate with impressive views of the lake. There was kayaking, canoes and fire pit and corn hoke for the whole family to enjoy. Hikes around the area and the place was just amazing. My only upset was we needed to shorted our stay by two days due to school starting earlier and I couldn’t get a refund for the two days, I even asked if we could possibly go back and have those two days over the weekend as the days were free. So we lost money and a few days vacation. But the place was amazing I would highly recommend

Wonderful lakefront cottage to stay in
The Cozy Cottage was a great place to stay, and I am so grateful that we booked it. Check-in was seamless, we were able to get settled, connect to the wi-fi and make ourselves at home. The owners provided plenty of cookware and utensils, a Keurig with K-Cups, as well as a gas grill and a fire pit. We loved being able to use the life jackets and water craft that were provided for use, and went canoeing and kayaking out on the pond. The heat pump was great and helped keep it a comfortable temperature, day or night. This cottage was centrally located and served as a good basecamp for our adventures in both Bangor area and Bar Harbor. This cottage was the best place we stayed at during our trip, and I hope to stay here again in the future!
Place was very clean, well stocked with essentials, and the view of the sunrise was incredible. Would definitely stay here again.
Two things to note:
For Remote workers: Internet is Starlink. If you are planning on taking any Zoom meetings you won't be able to. The connection works fine to stream a movie or check email but if you use a VPN for work no dice. Ideally for a place like this you won't need internet but I work remote and had no choice.
Google maps: As you approach the final turn on Chemo Road to get to the property Google Maps will tell you to go right. The property is on the left.
Just look for Forestry Rd and take that left. Cottage is first right on the road. Street and property are clearly marked with green road signs
Wonderful location on a beautiful lake. The property was one of the few that was full of mature growth trees instead of being clear-cut for building. A big plus in our book! Many large birch trees which is a rarity. Quiet, so quiet! No sounds but the left over storm water pouring though a nearby brook and the birds of the lake in thee early morn. The few clear nights we had were full of stars! The cabin is unassuming from the outside, but plenty of space and attractive on the inside. Clean and beds were very comfortable.
Minor negatives, or space for improvement... Save for the one recliner, seating was quite uncomfortable inside. For the unititiated, the Amazon Fire TV can be quite confusing to navigate.
Our only big gripe was the bathroom. Getting a quality shave at the sink was impossible. The mirror is old and has a cloudiness that can't be cleaned off and the lighting comes from behind the head. Unless you're very pettite, you'll find the shower stall like being in an MRI tube! Hard to manuever. A good work around would be a trip to Dysarts for their coin operated shower and a breakfast to write home about!!
This property was so beautiful and clean. I was half expecting it to be a little..dog friendly in appearance and in..aroma. I could not have been more wrong. We appreciated that didn't smell like ANYthing! (Sometimes people use gross glade plug-ins or dryer sheets..this place was clean. Naturally clean.) Many towels, blankets, pillows, beds, all the kitchen stuff you could ever need or want. The grill was beautiful and super clean. You truly need to bring nothing but your bathing suit and food!
In this intense July humidity, we had great appreciation for the air conditioner when we were not out on the GORGEOUS lake! If you like to fish, you'll love it here. Bass, loons, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. This place was a great break. We didn't want to leave, and hope to return!
(Just as a heads up, if taxidermy is bothersome to you, this may not be the right place for you or your dog.It didn't bother us at all, but thought it was worth a mention.)
Thank you so much for sharing your space, Cozy Cottage keepers! We had a lovely time.
Enjoyed our two days in the Cozy Cottage. Extra charges and spotty communication by Vacasa not ideal, but it’s a nice little house furnished with most things you’d need.
There is a trailer campground nearby and we heard partying and a band the second night, but it wasn’t so loud to prevent sleeping. When the partying wasn’t on, we heard loons and other birds, and it’s great the rental includes tubes and kayaks for a paddle on the lake when boats and jet skis aren’t whizzing by.
The house is dog friendly, but felt and smelled clean. Would be a great property for a water loving dog.
We’d stay again, but probably not on a holiday weekend.

Wonderful Maine Vacation!
The Cozy Cottage was a great home base for our Maine trip. We enjoyed the fire pit and fishing from the pier. Fishing could have been better if we had caught one, but it was fun anyway! Our trip was primarily to spend time at Acadia to enjoy the fall foliage. Which was awesome! We really enjoyed our time at this cabin! It was very clean, which made our stay very pleasant! Thank you again!

Beautiful pond, cute cabin.
So quiet and secluded. Lovely sunsets over the pond. Ducks, loons and a heron visited over our 3 days
Our family of 4 stayed at this property for 4 nights in July of 2022, making daily trips out to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We loved it! It was clean and comfortable, and the location right on the lake was fantastic. The stargazing from the dock was absolutely unbeatable. We were only about an hour drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia, making them easy day trips. My only critique of the cabin is that it doesn’t come with a washer and dryer, and we had wrongly assumed that it would (it seems most VRBO properties do). Luckily, there was a laundromat about 20 minutes away 😁. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay! The neighbors were very friendly too. We’d stay here again!
This property exceeded all expectations! Will definitely be back!

Peace
This cabin was just what our family needed for a respite away. Private and quiet. The pond was so clear, fishing was great in the morning. Our oldest was able to work on his college classes with the wifi on the deck. The kitchen was set with the basics and the games were appreciated.

Awesome Place
The cabin is a little remote to get to but once you arrive it is just awesome. The fishing was beyond amazing and you are very close to Bar Harbor and many other local fun places to visit.
