"This is an old, historic hotel. The lobby is beautiful with a small museum about Porfirio Diaz. The place is well kept but not shiny new. It has a couple of restaurants, which was convenient, given my brief stay. My room was in a quiet corner upstairs. The only drawback was the air handling equipment that ran constantly day and night. "

The neighborhood is lovely, we loved taking a walk at night.The only downside of our stay: our room was near a very noisy ice machine that always went on early in the morning. But other than this, I would 100% recommend."

We recommended staying at the Brisas Business Club level. The breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of options. "Over the course of several trips, I’ve learned that it’s important for a place of stay to feel as close to home as possible. Only then, can you truly unwind and get to know and enjoy the place and people you’re visiting. With that in mind, I am fascinated by the extent to which Hotel Casa Izel and its staff have mastered what I consider to be the complicated art of hospitality. The hotel itself is a gem and strikes an incredible balance between a modern interior and a more historical exterior face. Staff like Adrián, Natalia and Saúl are masters at each of their crafts, and from our arrival in CDMX, I was convinced we’d made the right choice. I highly recommend Hotel Casa Izel to anyone (foreign or local) who is looking for a genuinely good time in CDMX. The staff are incredibly warm and receptive, and each person had their own nuggets of knowledge related to what is frankly one of the most majestic cities in the world. We didn’t have the opportunity to take advantage of everything the hotel offered, but rest assured, we’ll be back! I do, however, have a newfound love for chilaquiles for breakfast."
