Stunning interiors, fantastic staff, walkable to the city or 2 minutes walk to the tram/train stations. Overall at a glance everything was fantastic, however I do feel the hotel itself is very much style over substance. On arrival there was no hot water in our room, this was ‘fixed’ promptly however due to the old building the water never stayed hot. There was a large wet patch which kept forming into the carpet in the dressing area (no idea where this came from since there was no visible leak) and the bathroom stank of mildew/mould. As well as this the lighting was incredibly dim, the lights flickered constantly and the natural light was lacking due to tiny windows.

La ubicación es increíble, pero bueno, todo Edinburgo es increíble. Me pareció curioso que nos dieran habitación con literas siendo que íbamos en pareja, aun así no nos importo, ya que el hotel es muy bonito.

Room was very tired, had mold in the bathroom, chips in the shower tile, stains on the carpet in the room, general dust as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Also there were several fruit flies for some reason, and both the bathroom and shower door didn’t close fully. Was overly disappointed given the brand and cost of the room.

I was a solo traveler visiting Edinburgh for the first time- I had originally booked a hotel on Victoria street but switched to the Horton for a more price convienent option. I’m very happy I did- I was only about a 10 minute walk from Victoria street and it was nice to not wake up right in the middle of all the tourists. I called the hotel ahead of time and explained I was a solo traveler so requested not to put me on a ground floor. They were very accommodating putting me on a second floor in a very quiet location. the staff were friendly, and accomodating, the food was great, the hotel was clean and well kept. I just booked my second stay at the Hoxton Edinburgh and I can’t wait to return :)

My flight from Dublin to Edinburgh was cancelled due to weather, so I was not able to stay at the Hoxton. I prepaid $691.78 for a three night stay there. I let the Hoxton know before check-in time on the first day that I would not be coming. While I would have been wise to have trip insurance for my whole trip, I still find it unreasonable that the Hoxton would not refund ANY of my money.

No hot water in the evening either of the two nights I stayed and when I mentioned this to the staff they just responded with thanks for letting us know. Food was good, bed v comfortable and room decor excellent.

The Hoxton war ein super Hotel. Ich war für ein Wochenende mit meiner Freundin in Edinburgh in das Hotel war wirklich perfekt dafür. Es ist sehr gut angebunden und man kann gut von dort aus die Stadt zu Fuß erkunden. Einzig das Personal finde ich hätte netter sein können. Ich war etwas verwirrt, dass es nur ein Hochbett gab denn ich bin davon ausgegangen das es ein Doppelbett gibt. Mir wurde gesagt das ist die Klasse die gewählt wurde und ich müsse damit leben. Ich finde man hätte mich besser abholen können und es netter erklären können. Aber ansonsten war alles super! Kann ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen 😊

Loved this hotel. The breakfast was amazing and the overall vibe was hip and cozy. We stayed down the street from the main hotel in the hotel's other property and didn't feel it was safe and secure with the main door that didn't close fully. I also heard other guests complain about the main door not being safe

We had a lovely stay at the Hoxton in Edinburgh! The hotel is brand new and the rooms are really nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also the location was ideal. Since the hotel is so new, we unfortunately had no running water 2 times during our stay. This is not so great in the morning because we could neither shower nor brush our teeth. The problem has been fixed, but we would have hoped for a little clearer communication and perhaps an apology in the form of a drink or something similar. With the price situation it should be reasonable. but otherwise we had a really nice stay.

I’d say this is a decent spot for a nice convenient stay biggest plus is it’s just around the corner from the station and pretty centrally located.Cant argue with it only thing that caught me by surprise was that our rooms are in a seperate building
