Amazing farm stay!

We stayed here to have a farm experience for our children while seeing Mammoth Cave. Carey was so good with the kids and they had a great time feeding the animals. We would definitely stay here again if ever in KY!

Weekend Getaway

We were very pleased with the place, as well as the property itself. Very much suited our needs, which was a quiet place in the country, with the local caving nearby. We would definitely return.

Such a sweet stay

We took our 13 year old here to celebrate her birthday. She is a huge animal lover and Carey allowed her to be involved in lots of ways. It meant so much to her. We loved our stay so much and have some wonderful memories there.

Fantastic location for us!

We have friends in the area and actually own 50 acres nearby that we plan to build on beginning next year. We also had graduation to attend two hours east of there. Lollie’s Retreat checked all the boxes for us. The apartment was beautifully decorated and included all the amenities that we could want. Views are amazing! Highly recommend!!

Thanksgiving in KY

We were very happy to find that the apartment was only a few minutes from our family’s home. What a cute place! It was beautifully decorated and everything was convenient. We will definitely stay when in the area again. Our hosts were very responsive whenever we needed something.

Home away from Home

This is the absolute BEST place to stay, the welcoming cozy feel when you walk in the door , literally makes you feel as if you are at home!! Carey and Mike are amazing people going out of their way to make sure you have anything and everything you need! We will most definitely be back to visit!

Best family trip ever!

Me and my husband brought our son and daughter for our 4 year olds birthday, and it was our favorite stay ever, from any website! Carey and Mike were so amazing and accommodating, and made our kids feel so included, getting to feed the farm animals, gather eggs, and exploring the beautiful property. We stayed an extra night we all loved it so much, and so close to dino world for dino loving kids! 😄 Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful setup and views

Carey and Mike were amazing hosts! Carey as very communicative on our way there and we met them in the barn upon arrival. My kids got to meet the cows, turkeys and chickens and even got a chance to help out feeding the horses. The apartment was very clean and tidy! There are zero complaints on my end and we will definitely be returning next time we’re in the area!

Worth every penny

Absolutely cannot beat this property for the price. Carey and her husband were extremely welcoming. The inside was immaculate and well stocked. The bed is very comfortable. I will be staying here again if in the area!

Perfect unit and the price is even better

Host was amazing, friendly and thoughtful. Unit was super clean, well furnished and appropriately stocked (in fact it had several nice surprises we did not expect). It was rainy upon arrival and the host left a few beach towels and treats for the pups - which is exactly what I keep by my door at home. The front pen allowed the dogs a place to potty off leash and the back pasture allowed the dogs an area to really run (several acres).Wish I had time to stay an extra day to really explore. However when we return to visit family, we know where to stay.

Anniversary get away

We were looking for a nice getaway from the city to relax and just spend quality time together in our anniversary. This place was everything we needed and we had a very enjoyable long weekend. Carey and Mike did a wonderful job of making sure our stay was quiet and relaxing. We had the opportunity to see farm life up close and even took part in collecting our own eggs for breakfast. We can’t thank them enough for opening their home and making us feel like family.

Delightful

A lovely farm setting right outside your door. Beautiful pastures, hens and roosters, cows, horses and open sky. Tranquil and energizing. Inside accommodations were charming and comfortable. Carey was always available if needed and brought me fresh eggs! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Exceeded expectations!

This property is a beautiful hidden gem! Lower level of the home has been transformed into an adorable little apartment. The property is beautiful and hikeable. Many sweet animals to see and visit in the pasture. And roosters to wake you up each morning! Carey is incredibly kind and welcoming host!

Simple Beauty

Very nice place for anyone looking for peace and quiet without any distractions. Simple, clean, and nicely setup apartment. Only thing I’d add is a little raised platform for a couple of chairs to allow you to sit and watch the livestock down in the pastures and give a clear view across the scenic landscape. Hosts were wonderful!

Most welcoming country farm stay!

Our experience could not have been better! Communication with the property owners, Carey and Mike, was better than anything I have ever experienced and they were so friendly. It was so fun to stay on this well upkept farm. There were friendly animals, acres of grounds to explore, star-gazing (amazing), and a super clean and cozy rental. Also close to Mammoth caves which we visited and were stunned by! We wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely be back. Cannot recommend this place more.

Beautiful

My son and I stayed three nights at the wonderful farm. The apartment was very well stocked in the kitchen with an air fryer, spices, cooking spray, foil etc. Bathroom had toiletries and the space was clean, pretty and plenty of pillows and blankets. We were more than comfortable. I felt safe there. Carey is kind and welcoming. We were able to feed the farm animals and hike the property. It was a great peaceful time.

Beautiful stay

It was such a great experience staying at Carey and Mikes farm. We traveled from New York to see the Mammoth Caves and thought it would be a great idea to escape from the bustling city life to stay in a peaceful farm. It was definitely a very peaceful farm filled with happy chickens, cows, horses and many other animals! We had the chance to get to know about Carey and Mike's life and how they came to own a farm. We also had the chance to collect fresh eggs and eat them for breakfast. We were also open to roam around the whole property and it was just great to slow down and spend time with nature. It was a pleasure staying with Carey and Mike! Definitely would love to come back again!

A WONDERFUL BLESSING....

I thought I was setting aside some quiet time just to study and write. However, it turned into an even BIGGER BLESSING than that. A missionary friend was also able to stop in and join me, but just two days..bc they were returning to the mission field. (Both of us had an extraordinarily special time bc the land is beautiful....the animals are so fun to watch...the location is perfect...and the owners are very precious hosts who gladly welcomed us in & took such great care of us...while also giving us much space and privacy. We certainly enjoyed the peaceful setting of this very special farm. I highly recommend staying here...and already know I will one day return to 'rest and enjoy' this special place again. It was a wonderful stay. If you enjoy the country life and beautifully peaceful settings...you will be blessed to stay on this very special farm!

Wonderful stay at the farm

Outstanding place to stay! The hospitality was as nice as the property. The most personable, caring, kindest, sweetest hosts! We had such a great time enjoying the quiet farm life! The accommodations were all new and modern, decorated in sunflowers and bees for Lolly. Full kitchen, washer, dryer, nice queen bed, TV, towels, coffeepot. New covered patio with grill, table and chairs and possible fire pit. There was nothing we did not have at our fingertips. Town was close enough if we wanted to buy food to grill out or forgot something. Better than any hotel! There were beautiful waterfalls to enjoy on the property as well as many loving animals. We got to feed the animals, gather eggs and walk the property to learn about farm life. We will be back to stay!! I would love to be able to add all of my pictures!
