We chose this hotel primary because it had a waffle maker in the photos for breakfast (my daughter’s favorite), also for the kitchenette in the room, as well as the location.
Pros- Staff were awesome, room was great, parking was easy (I hate crowded lots). We could sign into Netflix on the TV- which we thought was really neat (had to watch WWE!).
Cons- On morning 1 (Friday)- my daughter woke up with one thing on her mind- Waffles! We bounce down to breakfast only to find- no waffles! No waffle machine! No sign of waffles! Oh the heartbreak- however they did have waffles on Saturday and Sunday morning- so I am guessing they are a weekend treat. Also, side note about breakfast- they didn’t have favored creamer- I know that’s not a big deal to most, but to me favored creamer (hazelnut) is my favorite part of breakfast.
Also, one thing we were NOT expecting, a sign in the elevator that said housekeeping will only come to your room every second day- but don’t worry you can put your garbage in the hall for collection. This did not impress us! Yes, we can make our own beds for a day, but one of the arguments I use to stay in hotels over Air BnB’s is feeling pamerped by the perks of a hotel (including daily housekeeping). I double checked the description of our hotel on Expedia and it said ‘daily housekeeping’ however this is not true (the notice is in the elevator).
